Liu Shahe (Liu Shaho) [real name Wu Xuntan] 1931-

Born into a landlord family in Chengdu, Liu made his debut as a poet in 1948. He was denounced as a rightist in 1957 and his books were banned until his exoneration in 1978. Apart from writing poetry, he also did research on Taiwan poets.
