Liu Xinwu 1942-

A teacher turned professional writer, whose short story 'Ban zhuren' [The class teacher] was hailed as the major period piece of post-Cultural Revolution 'scar literature'. He has written satirical essays as well as short stories, and several a novels. In the 1990s Liu turned his concern to enviornmental issues.
