Li Yinghao (Lee Ying Ho)

Li grew up in Hong Kong and graduated from the Northcote College of Education. He started writing literary criticism and promoting Modernist literature in the 1960s. He was the editor of The Epoch Poetry Quarterly 創世紀, a Taiwan poetry journal, and the short-lived Modern Edition 好望角, a literary journal which he co-founded in 1963. In the 1970s Li began to write books and newspaper articles about his different hobbies such as pets, gardening and antiques. He is now a columnist for Ta Kung Pao 大公報. His collected works include Gei Yuyu de xin 給煜煜的信 [Letters to Yuyu] (1985) and Xianggang gezi ren 香港格子人 [Hong Kong writers] (1987).
