Zhang Kangkang 1950-
Born in 1950, was sent down to the countryside in 1969 and began publishing her literary work in 1972. She became a full-time writer when she was assigned to Heilongjiang Writer's Association in 1979 and has won various national prizes for novellas and short stories. Her longer works include Fenjiexian [The Dividing Line], her first novel published in 1975, and Yinxing banl [The Invisible Companion], published in 1986.
