Zhang Xinxin

Zhang Xinxin 1953-

Born in Nanjing and attended school in Peking. After finishing junior middle school in 1969, aht the height of the Cultural Revolution, she was sent down to a farm in Heilongjiang, and subsequently joined the army and worked as a nurse. In 1979, she enrolled in the Central Academy of Drama and following her graduation in 1984 worked as a director in the People's Art Theatre in Peking. She is co-author with Sang Ye of Beijing ren. Other works include Women zhe ge nianji de meng [The dream of people our age] and Zai tong yi dipingxian shang [On the same horizon].
