Computer Scientists have joined their counterparts from Taiwan and China to develop a conversion program to unify the Chinese-language computer systems in the three places. Hanzix, a large-scale Chinese computing project involving scientists from the CUHK, the Chinese Academy of Science, China, and the Institute of Information Industry, Taiwan, is an attempt to resolve language differences in Chinese computing. The Hanzix software enables one-to-one character conversion. The program will also suggest other possible characters, allowing the user to choose the correct one.
