On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are most delighted to welcome you to the "International Conference on Aging Research in Chinese Medicine: Musculoskeletal and Neurological Degeneration and Repair " (中醫藥抗衰老國際會議: 肌肉、骨骼及神經退行性病變與修復) to be held on 23 July, 2021 in Hong Kong.

This conference is organized by the School of Chinese Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The School has endeavored to unlock the scientific basis of Chinese medicine and facilitate its modernization for many years and devote to the translational and clinical studies on Chinese medicine for a wide range of common diseases.

The theme of the Conference is evidence-based and scientific research on Chinese medicine for age-related musculoskeletal and neurological degenerative disorders. The Conference will be held virtually through live-streaming and the speakers will be presenting the latest development of aging research in Chinese Medicine. We are expecting international and local Chinese medicine, musculoskeletal and neurological experts to join this grand academic event. We are confident this conference will be a perfect interdisciplinary forum that brings together basic and clinical researchers and other interested parties around the world to explore, share and exchange the most updated knowledge and valuable research ideas on Chinese medicine for age-related disorders in musculoskeletal and neurological system.

Call For Abstracts

The submission period is closed. Submissions were due by 08 June 2021. Thank you.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. 1. Please complete the abstract submission form and upload via the abstract submission system ONLY (The submission period is closed) . Submission via other methods will NOT be accepted.
  2. 2. Author could submit more than one abstract, but the author has to use a NEW form for every abstract submission.
  3. 3. Submitted material is original work and has not been previously published.
  4. 4. All abstracts must be submitted in ENGLISH and word limit is 500 words including acknowledgement. No table and picture is allowed.
  5. 5. Please make sure all information is properly filled in. No amendment is allowed after the abstract has been submitted.
  6. 6. Abstract submission form should be submitted in both Microsoft Word format AND PDF format.
  7. 7. Selected abstracts will be invited for poster presentation and published in the conference program book.
  8. 8. Once an abstract has been submitted, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to all authors within 2 working days. Please notify conference secretariat via email (scm-conference@cuhk.edu.hk) in case confirmation e-mail is not received.
  9. 9. Notification of abstract acceptance/rejection will be made on or before 9 June 2021 (HKT23:59) via email.
  10. 10. Presenting author of accepted abstracts must register for the conference.
  11. 11. Poster Presentation Competition:
    The Conference Committee will select the best posters and the best investigators. Each winner will be awarded a certificate and HK$ 500 cash. The winning results will be announced during the conference.
