Career Sharing Day 2007

The Career Sharing Day jointly organized by the Shaw College Mentorship Programme and the Shaw College Alumni Affairs Committee was held successfully on 31 March 2007 at Fu Zung Centre, Shaw College. More than 50 people took part in this activity. The College was privileged to have invited a number of alumni from different industries including the medical field, trading, financial sector, information technology, insurance and corporate communication etc. to join the event together with our students.

A short sharing session was arranged for our alumni to share their work experience and exchange views on career development with the students. After the sharing session, the students were divided into groups according to the fields in which they were interested to conduct in-depth discussion with the alumni. It provided a chance for the students to have a deeper understanding of the career prospects and demands of different industries and to gain a panoramic view of their future working environments. Thus they could be better equipped in the face of the challenges posed by the ever-changing labour market.
