Programme Objectives 課程目標
One of the most salient features of Hong Kong as a modern and knowledge-based society is the rapid increase of the importance of the role of social research in the formulation of social policy and in the planning and development of government and non-government organizations.
Against this background, the present programme is designed to meet the current strong demand for professional training in applied social research in society. The Department of Sociology at CUHK has a long history of commitment and distinguished accomplishments in regard to social research in Hong Kong. The target students of this programme are people working in public and private sectors who relate the acquisition of sophisticated social research knowledge and skills to greater challenges in their work and career advancement.
在香港這個現代化及知識型社會中，社會研究的應用日趨普遍，其在社會、經濟與政治等方面的發展正扮演著愈來愈重要的角色。本課程針對社會上對應用社會研究訓練之需求，向現職與社會研究有關或對社會研究有興趣的人士，提供專業及深入的進修課程。
