本院校董獲大學頒授榮譽院士
本院校董會副主席暨校友會會長張煊昌博士及本院校董暨校友會顧問殷巧兒女士獲頒授香港中文大學第四屆榮譽院士榮銜。頒授典禮訂於五月二十三日(星期一)下午五時正於利黃瑤璧樓利希慎音樂廳舉行，由大學校董會主席鄭維健博士主禮。

College Trustees honored with CUHK Honorary
Fellowship
Dr Thomas H C
Cheung, Vice-chairman of the College Board of Trustees and President of
Alumni Association of United College, and Ms Lina Yan, College Trustee
and Consultant of Alumni Association of United College, were made CUHK’s
Honorary Fellows in recognition of their service and contribution to the
University. The Conferment Ceremony will be held on 23 May 2005 (Monday)
at 5:00pm at the Esther Lee Building. Dr Edgar W K Cheng, Chairman of
the Council of the University will officiate at the ceremony.

UC Members win Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary
Teaching Awards 2004
Three
members of United College, Professor Lee Tan, Department of Electronic
Engineering, Professor Kenneth Young, Department of Physics and
Professor Chau Kwai Cheong, Department of Geography and Resource
Management have won the Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Awards
2004. An award presentation ceremony will be held on 24 May 2005 at
4:30pm at the Esther Lee Building Lecture Hall.

馮國培院長盃
書院生活委員會在二零零五年四月十六日舉辦「馮國培院長盃」。是項師生盃賽包括羽毛球賽、乒乓球賽及籃球競射。逾四十位教職員、校友及同學參加比賽，結果由學生隊奪得全場總冠軍，捧走今年的馮國培院長盃。

Fung Kwok Pui Cup
The
United College Fung Kwok Cup had been organized on 16 April 2005 by the
College Life Committee. Over 40 UC alumni, staff and students competed
in a series of badminton, table tennis and basket ball shoot out
competitions. The overall Champion of the day went to the Student Team.
The Champion Cup was sponsored and presented by Professor K P Fung,
College Head.

輔導主任劉行榕教授將於二零零五年五月三十日至七月二日休假。五月三十日至六月十九日期間由物理系吳恆亮教授出任署理輔導主任；而六月二十日至七月二日期間由英語教學單位賴陳秀卿博士出任署理輔導主任。

Appointment of Acting Dean of Students
Professor
Alaster Lau, Dean of Students will be on leave from 30 May 2005 to 2
July 2005. Professor Dickon Ng, Department of Physics, will be the
Acting Dean of Students from 30 May to 19 June, while Dr Jose Lai,
English Language Teaching Unit will be the Acting Dean of Students from
20 June to 2 July.
