訃告

本院校董吳多泰博士於二零零五年九月八日因病辭世，享壽九十四歲。吳博士生前熱心公益，樂善好施，對香港及國內教育事業，捐贈不綴。吳博士於一九六六年開始加入聯合書院校董會，在過去近三十九年來，盡心盡力為聯合書院服務。他對書院員生關懷備至，愛護有嘉，對校董會及基金會事務支持指導，帶領書院穩步發展。吳博士對學生福利，尤為關注，每年均捐助學業優異獎予書院，獎掖學子。

對於吳博士辭世，書院同人均感十分悲痛，並向他的家人致以深切慰問。

吳多泰博士之喪禮及公祭儀式定於二零零五年九月二十四日(星期六)上午十時正假北角香港殯儀館舉行。擬聯合書院同人參加公祭儀式之師生，請致電2609 7577與院務主任戴朝明先生聯絡，或於該日上午十時正，到達該館大禮堂，參加公祭，同表哀思。

Obituary

Dr Ng Tor Tai, member of the United College Board of Trustees and Endowment Fund Committee, passed away on 8 September 2006 at the age of 94. Dr Ng was a respected philanthropist who had given enthusiastic and generous contributions to charity, particularly in support of education both locally and in China. Dr Ng joined the United College Board of Trustees in 1966. In the last 39 years, Dr Ng had worked tirelessly and selflessly in guiding United College through many challenging and difficult times. He had also made continuous donations to the College for the award of academic prizes.

Members of United College are saddened by the news and express the deepest condolences to Dr Ng’s family.

The funeral service and public memorial ceremony for Mr Ng will be held on Saturday, 24 September 2005 at the Hong Kong Funeral Home, North Point. Staff and students intending to attend the public memorial ceremony please contact Mr C M Tai on 2609 7577 for transport arrangement, or be present at the ceremonial hall of the Hong Kong Funeral Home at 10 am, Saturday, 24 September 2005.
