二零零六至二零零七年度聯合書院岑才生學長計劃
由校董會主席岑才生先生慷慨贊助，書院及書院校友會合辦之「二零零六至二零零七年度聯合書院岑才生學長計劃」現已開始接受報名。學長計劃旨在提供機會讓書院校友與在校同學互相認識，透過一對一的交流模式，建立友誼，分享生活及工作體驗，從而提高在校同學的心智發展，擴闊視野，增強自信，改善溝通技巧。本計劃亦設有海外學長，讓參與國際交換計劃的同學能透過海外學長的輔導，在文化及生活交流方面得到更大的幫助。申請表格可於辦公時間內往書院輔導處索取或在書院網頁下載 (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/whatsnew/whatsnew.html)。截止申請日期為二零零六年四月三日。

United College Shum Choi Sang Mentorship Programme 2006/2007
Applications are now invited for the United College Shum Choi Sang Mentorship Programme 2006/2007.This programme is jointly organized by the College and the Alumni Association and supported by a generous donation from Mr Shum Choi-sang, Chairman of the College Board of Trustees. It provides an opportunity for alumni and undergraduates of the College to interchange through sharing of life and learning experiences. The Programme is designed to help students improve their interpersonal and communication skills, develop their social awareness and broaden their knowledge base. The programme will also recruit overseas mentors to provide support to students who will take up exchange programmes during the year. Application forms are available at the Dean of Students' Office, United College. They can also be downloaded from the College website (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/whatsnew/whatsnew.html). The closing date for applications is 3 April 2006.

澳洲昆士蘭大學交流學習計劃
聯合書院澳洲昆士蘭大學交流學習計劃現正接受院內同學報名。參加同學將於六月初前往澳洲昆士蘭大學三星期，透過不同形式的活動如講座及研討會，探討全球化的問題對澳洲的影響及香港社會可借鑑的經驗。期間同學將被安排入住於當地家庭，以親身體驗澳洲生活及風俗人情。

United College Study Tour Programme at the University of Queensland
The United College Study Tour Programme at the University of Queensland is now open for application. The theme of the programme is "Confronting Globalisation: Australian Experiences and Challenges for Hong Kong". Students are expected to engage in an active and interactive 3-week program based on lectures, workshops, fieldwork, seminars and presentations and to work in teams to investigate an aspect of globalisation and its impacts on an Australian institution and its members throughout the three-week period.
Application forms and detailed information of the above programme are obtainable from the College Dean of Students' Office. 書院創意學生活動獎勵計劃接受申請
書院為鼓勵同學籌辦具創意的活動，特設「創意學生活動獎」供本院同學或學生團體申請。計劃目的在於鼓勵學生或學生團體籌辦優質活動；提高學生及學生組織的積極性；及推動學生積極投入校園生活。是項計劃現正接受申請。歡迎聯合書院學生會認可的學生團體或本院同學以個人或小組名義申請。申請表格及計劃書可於二零零六年三月十八日(星期六)或以前向書院輔導處遞交。
得獎人或單位將獲得不超過港幣兩萬元的資助，作為籌辦該項活動的經費。開支實報實銷。得獎個人或團體須向書院呈交活動及財政報告。本計劃由聯合書院鄭棟材博士紀念基金資助。申請表格可於書院輔導處索取或於書院網頁下載，查詢請電2609 7570 與書院學生輔導處林偉源先生或何惠芬女士聯絡。

Creative Student Activity Award Programme Now Opens for Application
To encourage students to organize new or creative activities, the College has established the Creative Student Activity Award Programme since 2002. The aims of the programmes are: 1) encouraging students or student bodies to organize quality activities; 2) encouraging students / student bodies to be more active in organizing activities; and 3) promoting students' participation in College life. The Programme for 2006 is now open for application. Students of United College or student organizations registered with the United College Student Union are eligible to apply. Interested parties should submit the applications and activity proposals to the Dean of Students' Office on or before 18 March 2006.
The winning students or organization(s) will be awarded up to HK$20,000 of subsidy for organizing the programme. A detailed activity and financial reports must be submitted to the College upon completion of the programme. This award programme is funded by the United College T C Cheng Memorial Fund. United College Language Improvement Project – Summer Camp 2006 is now open for application. The camp is free of charge for United College students. A deposit of HK$350 will be collected at registration and refunded after participating all camp activities. 宿舍消息
1) 2006/2007年度學生住宿申請 2006/2007年度聯合書院學生宿舍申請表格於三月二十八日起開始派發，同學可於辦公時間內往書院學生輔導處索取或在書院網頁下載（http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/forms/forms.html）。填妥之申請表須於二零零六年四月二十日前送達聯合書院學生輔導處，逾期申請將不獲處理。
2) 學生暑期住宿申請 本年度書院學生宿舍暑期住宿將於二零零六年四月三日開始接受申請。有關詳情及申請辦法，請參閱學生輔導處佈告板或往學生輔導處查詢。截止申請日期為二零零六年五月二日。
3) 招聘暑期工作人員 本院學生宿舍將於二零零六年六月至八月期間開放予外界及學生團體租用，現擬招聘學生助理兩名，協助接待及管理工作。申請表格可往學生輔導處索取，截止申請日期為二零零六年三月三十一日。查詢請致電2609 7574與胡太或潘小姐聯絡。

Hostel News
1) Applications for the 2006/2007 regular term residence Application forms for the 2006/2007 regular term residence in the College's student hostels are available at the Dean of Students' Office, United College from 28 March 2006. They can also be downloaded from the College website: http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/forms/forms.html. Completed application forms should be submitted to the same office on or before 20 April 2006. Late applications will not be considered.
2) Applications for Summer Residence Applications for this year's summer residence in UC student hostels will open on 3 April 2006. For further details, please refer to the College notice boards or approach the Dean of Students' Office. Applications close on 2 May 2006.
3) Recruitment of Student Coordinators for Summer Residence The College's student hostels will be open for rental to outside groups and student societies during the summer vacation of 2006. Students interested in working as summer residence coordinators please apply to the Dean of Students' Office. The closing date is 31 March 2006.
