聯合學生會消息

本院第四十四屆學生會幹事會選舉已於三月六日至九日進行投票，並於三月十日下午二時十五分在院長馮國培教授及學生會選舉委員會主席林建輝同學監察下於「百全堂」進行點票。是次選舉共有564位同學投票，佔學生會會員總人數百分之二十二點六。其中對唯一候選內閣「一拍即合」投信任票者共535人，投不信任票者5人，投棄權票者8人，另廢票16張。結果「一拍即合」順利當選，由三月十三日起正式出任第四十四屆學生會幹事會。新幹事會成員名單如下：

第四十四屆書院學生會監議會職員會亦已於三月六日正式就任，任期由二零零六年三月六日起至二零零七年二月二十八日止。監議會成員名單如下：

United College Student Union News

The 44^th United College Student Union Executive Committee election was held from 6 to 9 March 2006.  The ballots were opened and counted on 10 March 2006 at 2:15pm in the Pak Chuen Hall under the supervision of Professor K P Fung, Head of College and Mr Lam Kin Fai, Chairman of United College Student Union's ad hoc

Elections Committee. A total of 564 students (22.60%) had cast their votes in the election. "United Road", the only cabinet standing for election, was elected the 44^th United College Student Union Executive Committee by 535 votes to 5, with 8 abstentions and 16 invalidated ballots. The newly-elected office-bearers have assumed office on 13 March 2006.  Their names and positions are as follows:

The newly appointed office-bearers of the Student Union Council also assumed office on 6 March 2006. Their term will be for one year up to 28 February 2007. The new office-bearers of the Student Union Council are:

書院為鼓勵學生團體積極服務同學，自二零零一年起特設「全年最佳學生團體獎」。本年度的獲獎團體是在三月十五日舉行的學生會聯席會議上經學生代表推選產生，結果由聯合書院扶輪青年服務團奪得，獎金為港幣一萬元。獎項安排於四月七日舉行的學生團體新任幹事茶聚中頒發。

The Best Student Organization of the Year Award 2005-2006

Aimed at encouraging student bodies to improve their delivery of services to their members and fellow students, the College established The Best Student Organization of the Year Award since 2001. In the Student Union joint meeting held on 15 March, the student representatives nominated the United College Rotaract Club to be the award winner this year, and the award will carry a cash prize of HK$10,000. The Rotaract Club will receive this award at the New Student Societies' office-bearers tea-gathering held on 7 April 2006.

宿舍消息

1) 2006/2007年度學生住宿申請

2006/2007年度聯合書院學生宿舍申請表格於三月二十八日起開始派發，同學可於辦公時間內往書院學生輔導處索取或在書院網頁下載（http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/forms/forms.html）。填妥之申請表須於二零零六年四月二十日前送達聯合書院學生輔導處，逾期申請將不獲處理。

2) 學生暑期住宿申請

本年度書院學生宿舍暑期住宿將於二零零六年四月三日開始接受申請。有關詳情及申請辦法，請參閱學生輔導處佈告板或往學生輔導處查詢。截止申請日期為二零零六年五月二日。

Hostel News 

1) Applications for the 2006/2007 Regular Term Residence

Application forms for the 2006/2007 regular term residence in the College's student hostels are available at the Dean of Students' Office, United College from 28 March 2006. They can also be downloaded from the College website:http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/forms/forms.html. Completed application forms should be submitted to the same office on or before 20 April 2006.  Late applications will not be considered. 

2) Applications for Summer Residence

Applications for this year's summer residence in UC student hostels will open on 3 April 2006.  For further details, please refer to the College notice boards or approach the Dean of Students' Office. Applications will be closed on 2 May 2006.

聯合書院校友講座系列

為增進同學與校友間的情誼，並加強雙方間的聯繫，聯合書院及校友會由二零零五年起合辦一系列的「校友講座」，邀請在社會上各行各業有卓越成就的校友，與在校的師弟師妹們分享他們在事業上、人生旅途上的各種經歷與體會。

校友講座第三講 ──「我的豐盛人生路」，於二零零六年三月二十九日（星期三）假聯合書院文怡閣舉行，由一九七九年聯合書院工商管理學系校友，前財經事務及庫務局副秘書長盧古嘉利校友主講，與聯合同學們真情對話交流，分享她的人生經驗和處世心得。

「校友講座」以高桌晚宴形式舉行。書院每次鼓勵不同學生團體合辦，讓同學們可以藉機學習組織活動及加強與校友會的合作。是次校友講座由聯合書院二零零三年級社「聚聯社」的同學主持。

United College Alumni Talks

United College and its Alumni Association jointly inaugurated in 2005 a series of alumni talks for undergraduate students of the College. Alumni with distinguished achievements in different fields and business will be invited to speak on various topics and share with the audience their life and work experiences. 

The third talk of the series was held on 29 March 2006 at the College's Staff Common Room. The guest speaker, Ms Clarie Lo, 1979 graduate of the Department of Business Administration and former Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and Treasury, gave a talk to United College students. 

The alumni talk series is organized in the format of a high table dinner. The College co-opts different student organizations to help present the talks. This talk was moderated by the United College Class Society 2003.

二零零六年畢業班捐貲承諾計劃

於三月二十四日和三月三十一日舉行的畢業班拍照日，超過二百位應屆畢業的聯合人積極響應馮國培院長的呼籲，率先參加「二零零六畢業班捐貲承諾計劃」，並即時繫上紀念襟針拍照留念，場面非常熱鬧。

畢業班捐貲承諾計劃始於零四年，旨在鼓勵畢業同學承先啟後支持母校發展。今年反應尤其熱烈，至今已有超過百分之三十的應屆畢業聯合同學踴躍參加。

此計劃乃「中大校友萬眾一心捐贈計劃」的活動之一，應屆畢業同學只須承諾三年內捐貲港幣五百元正予母校作學生發展用途，便可即時獲贈刻有大學校徽及畢業年份之紀念襟針，別具意義。騰飛茁壯中大人，回饋母校添護蔭。尚未加入捐貲承諾行列的應屆畢業聯合同學，可登入www.cuhk.edu.hk/oia/06classpledge填覆表格參與支持。

2006 Graduating Class Pledge Scheme
　

Over 200 United Graduating Students thronged to sign up the "2006 Graduating Class Pledge Scheme" in response to Professor K P Fung, College Head's appeal on March 24 and 31 Graduating Class Photo Day. Many of them even took photos with their souvenir pins on their gowns, brightening up the entire United Campus.

Graduating Class Pledge Scheme has been launched since 2004, aiming to encourage new graduates to live out the tradition of giving back to their Alma Mater. The College is pleased to announce that over 30% of the United Graduating Students have already signed up the Scheme for this year.

The Scheme falls part of the series under the University-wide Alumni Donation Scheme. Graduating Students who have pledged to donate HK$500 in three years will receive tailor-made souvenir pins, with the University’s emblem and year of graduation engraved on it as tokens of commitment. It is truly a "Symbol of Commitment" by wearing your "Pledge". Caring United Graduating Students who have not yet signed up the Scheme, please go to www.cuhk.edu.hk/oia/06classpledge to show your support.

聯合書院儲物箱

由於學期即將完結，請各畢業班同學盡快清理儲物箱內所有物件，並在二零零六年五月十九日前於辦公時間內，前往書院學生輔導處辦理交還儲物箱鎖匙及領回按金的手續。大學會計部將安排按金轉帳至各同學之銀行戶口。逾期仍不辦理者，本院將清理箱內物件及沒收按金。

Lockers at United College

All final year United College students holding lockers at United College are required to return the locker keys and complete the deposit refund process at the Dean of Students' Office, United College during office hours on or before 19 May 2006. Locker deposit will be credited to your bank account by the Bursary in due course. Failure to return the locker key after the above deadline will result in your deposit being forfeited and articles inside the locker removed and disposed of.
