聯合書院五十周年

 

二零零六年正值是聯合書院慶祝成立五十周年，是次金禧院慶的主題為「務實創新，聯合邁進」。為隆重其事，書院將於二零零六至二零零七年度舉辦一連串慶祝活動，以誌金禧。

 

聯合書院金禧院慶活動大可分為六項：特別慶祝活動、學術、藝術、出版、校友及學生活動。欲了解聯合書院金禧活動的最新資訊，歡迎瀏覽書院為五十周年特別設計的網頁：www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/uc50。

 

為金禧院慶揭開序幕，書院將於本年九月十五日上午十時於聯合校園舉行思源廣場開幕典禮，同日上午十一時三十分於邵逸夫堂舉行金禧慶祝活動啟動典禮暨金禧校友講座第一講。歡迎大學教職員及學生踴躍參加。

United College 50th Anniversary

The Year of 2006 marks the 50th Anniversary of United College. The slogan of the 50th Anniversary is "Together We Innovate, United We Advance". The College will celebrate this joyful occasion with a wide range of programmes and events to be launched in academic year 2006 – 2007.

The programmes can be classified into six categories: Special Celebratory Events, Academic Activities, Cultural and Art Programmes, Publication, Alumni and Student Programmes. For details of these programmes, please visit the special website for United College 50th Anniversary: www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/uc50. The latest news about the anniversary celebration will be updated periodically online.  

To launch the 50th Anniversary, the Si Yuan Amphitheatre Opening Ceremony will be held at 10:00am on 15 September 2006 on United College Campus. On the same day, the College will organize the Golden Jubilee Anniversary Activities Kick-off Ceremony cum Golden Jubilee 1st Alumni Talk at 11:30am at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. All staff and students of the University are welcome.

Professor K P Fung has been reappointed as Head of United College for three years from 1 August 2006.

聯合書院五十周年院慶《聯合文采》徵稿

　

　

聯合書院將於二零零六年慶祝創院五十周年紀念，為慶祝此盛事，書院將舉辦連串大型活動，其中出版委員會正籌備出版《聯合文采》散文集。文集分五大部分，各收十篇，共有文章五十篇，計為：

　1. 崢嶸歲月：領導層或散文名家作品十篇。

　2. 舊曲重溫：歷年校刊中的佳作十篇。

　3. 時雨清風： 教職員文章十篇。

　4. 光輝聯合人：校友著作十篇。

　5. 許一個未來：在校同學供稿十篇。

　

其中第三項「時雨清風」及第五項「許一個未來」現向所有聯合書院教職員及聯合同學徵稿，細節如下：

　

1. 可用中文或英文撰寫。

2. 散文體，題材不限。

3. 字數最好在1000字至2000字之間。

4. 稿件可附相片。另加作者簡介一則，以不逾200字為限。

Calling for Articles for Golden Jubilee Anniversary Volume

　

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of United College in 2006, the College will publish The Golden Jubilee Anniversary Volume in May 2007. The Volume will consist of about 50 articles coming from the administration, distinguished professors (past and present), alumni and students of United College, and from selected writings appearing in previous issues of the United Bulletin of the College.

　

The College Publications Committee is now inviting articles from staff and students of the College. Submission details are as follows:

　

1. Articles can be written in either English or Chinese.

2. Articles can be written on any topics.

3. Articles should be between 1000 and 2000 words in length.

4. Related photos can be submitted together with the article. Please also attach a biodata of no more than 200 words to introduce the author.

5. Application form can be downloaded from http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc\whatsnew/50anniCallArticles.doc

6. Please forward the article together with the completed application form via email to lukamy@cuhlk.edu.hk or internal mail to Ms Amy Luk, Secretary of United College Publications Committee on or before 30

    September 2006.

7.  Articles will be selected by the United College Publications Committee. The Committee will liaise with the writer on any revision of the articles before printing.

8.  Submission results will be notified in late October 2006.

第六十二期《聯合校刊》徵稿

　

《聯合校刊》乃書院每年出版一次之重要刊物。《聯合校刊》除記載書院名錄、學生生活及當年大事外，亦刊登員生著作，以豐富內容及提高趣味性。二零零五至二零零六年度 (第六十二期)《聯合校刊》編輯委員會現向各教職員、同學及校友徵稿，來稿可以中文或英文撰寫，題材及類別不限，字數約二千至二千五百字為合。

 

來稿請於九月九日前送交書院出版委員會秘書陸敏兒女士。查詢請致電2609 8654與陸敏兒女士聯絡。

　

Calling for Articles for the 62nd United Bulletin

 

The United Bulletin is an annual publication of the College. Apart from being an official chronicle of College personalia, student and staff activities and major College events, it also includes outstanding literary and academic work of staff and students of the College. The College Publication Committee is now inviting articles for the 62nd issue of the United Bulletin (2005-2006) from members of the College. Articles should be about 2000 - 2500 words in length and can be either in English or Chinese. There is no restriction on the format and style of the article.
