聯合書院「師生共膳計劃」
為了加強院內師生的聯繫，聯合書院自本學年初新推出了「聯合書院師生共膳計劃」。計劃以學院為單位，鼓勵不同學院的老師和同學，透過出席於聯合書院飯堂舉行的晚宴，加強彼此溝通，亦加深對書院的認識。此計劃是書院非形式教育的一部份。
本年度第二次的「師生共膳計劃」詳情如下:

United College Dinner
United College has launched a new scheme titled the "College Dinner " in this Golden Jubilee Anniversary year. The College Dinner is a part of the College non-formal education and the main objective of this scheme is to facilitate more interactions between the College staff and students outside class. College staff and students of the Faculties concerned will be invited to join the dinner gathering specially arranged for their faculties at the College student canteen. The details of the second gathering are as below:

Dinner Fee:HK$20 per student (plus HK$20 attendance deposit)

辯論活動消息
工管二年級江天俊同學現正參與美國佛蒙特大學的交換計劃，他於本年十月參加了美國徹斯特大學辯論會舉辦的Brad Smith辯論大賽，並獲得新人組的第十二名。江同學為去年的書院粵語辯論隊隊員，書院謹致衷心祝賀。
書院粵語辯論隊於十一月二日與政政系辯論隊作新人友誼賽，題目為「最低工資立法刻不容緩」。結果正方的聯合書院以二比零勝出，結辯馮倩雯同學(政政一年級)更獲得最佳辯論員的名銜，書院謹致衷心祝賀。
Debate News
Mr Kong Tin Chun, BBA2, joined the exchange programme with the University of Vemont this year. He participated in the University of Rochester Brad Smith Debate Tournament 2006 in October and was awarded the 12th best speaker in the Novice Division. Mr Kong was a former College Cantonese Debate Team member. Our heartily congratulations to Mr Kong!
The College Cantonese Debate Team had a friendly match with the Department Team of Government and Public Administration on 2 November, with the motion of "Urgency for lowest wage legislation". The College team won and Miss Fung Sin Man (GPA1) was awarded the Best Debater. Heartily congratulations to the College Debate Team!
聯合書院蔡冠深中國就業學習獎
蒙書院校董蔡冠深博士的慷慨捐贈，書院自二零零四年起設立「聯合書院蔡冠深中國就業學習獎」，旨在資助本院同學參與由大學學生事務處舉辦「中國就業發展獎勵計劃」。本年度獲頒發此獎項的同學共有十九人。名單載於附件四。
United College Choi Koon Shum China Employment Award Scheme
With support from Dr Choi Koon Shum, Trustee of United College, the "United College Choi Koon Shum China Employment Award Scheme" has been set up since 2004 to provide financial support to the College students participating in the "China Career Development Award Programme" organized by the Office of Student Affairs of the University. There were 19 award recipients in this year. A completed recipient list is in Appendix 4.
聯合劇社參加中大四院劇賽
由四成員書院贊助、邵逸夫堂及四院劇社合辦之中大四院劇賽將於十一月十五及十六日晚上七時半假邵逸夫堂舉行。聯合書院劇社參賽劇目《劫果》訂於十五日晚演出，敬希各聯合人踴躍出席，為聯合劇社打氣。

UC Drama Club in CU Inter-collegiate Drama Competition
This year's CU Inter-Collegiate Drama Competition will be held on 15 & 16 November 2006 at 7:30 pm at the Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. The competition, sponsored by the four Colleges is co-organized by Sir Run Run Shaw Hall and College Drama Societies. The United College Drama Club entry "A ROBbERY" will be staged on 15 November.
