聯合劇社於中大四院劇賽勇奪四大獎項
本年度的中大四院劇賽已於十一月十五日及十六日假邵逸夫堂舉行，聯合劇社於十一月十五日晚演出《劫果》，結果憑此劇獲得下列四個獎項：
優異劇本創作獎 – 編劇張可怡 (新傳三)
優異演員獎 - 周韻寧 (飾演內地女人) (生化一)
優異演員獎 - 陳子浩 (飾演內地男人) (化學一)
最佳演出獎 - 全體工作人員

Drama Society Won Four Awards in the Inter-Collegiate Drama Competition
The Inter-Collegiate Drama Competition of this year had been held on 15 and 16 November 2006 at the Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. The United College Drama Society won four awards with the entry “A Robbery” staged on 15 November as follows:
Outstanding Script Writing – Ms Cheung Ho Yee (JLM/3)
Outstanding Artist – Ms Chow Wan Ning (as women from Mainland) (BCH1)
Outstanding Artist – Mr Chan Chi Ho (as men from Mainland) (CHM1)
The Best Performance – Whole Team

二零零六至二零零七年度書院獎學金
以下獎項已開始接受申請：
一、 黃李碧恥紀念獎學金
獎額一名，港幣一萬元，由「李碧恥紀念基金」資助。旨在表揚在社會服務方面有傑出表現的社會工作學系同學。
二、 聯合書院謝婉雯醫生紀念獎學金
獎額共三名，每名港幣一萬元。旨在鼓勵本院醫科生積極參與社會服務，熱心公益，以發揚謝婉雯校友在沙士期間熱心助人的無私精神。
三、 書院傑出服務獎
獎額共六名，每名港幣一千元至一萬元。旨在獎勵於過去一年間在服務書院或推動書院活動方面表現傑出之同學。申請者須由書院行政人員提名。
四、 院長創作獎
院長為提倡書院內之創作風氣及鼓勵同學個人或集體創作之興趣，特捐出「院長創作獎」一名，獎金為港幣一千五百元正。凡屬本院同學於過去一年內完成之學術論文、研究報告、文學創作、音樂作品、美術設計或科學發明等均可參加競逐。
以上各項獎學金的截止申請日期為二零零七年一月二十日。有關詳情及申請辦法，請參閱輔導處報告板、瀏覽書院網頁或逕向書院輔導處查詢。
Scholarships 2006/2007
Applications are now invited for the following scholarships:
1. Mrs Eva Wong Memorial Scholarship
This Scholarship, in the amount of HK$10,000, was established through a donation from the “Eva Li Memorial Fund”. The Scholarship will be awarded to one Social Work student who has attained outstanding performance in community services.
2. United College Dr Tse Yuen Man Memorial Scholarships
Three scholarships, HK$10,000 each, were established to encourage more young medical students to continue the vision of Dr. Tse Yuen Man, a graduate of United College and a great fighter against SARS, in utilizing her knowledge to cure suffering and save lives.
3. Distinguished College Service Awards
There will be six awards ranging from HK$1,000 to HK$10,000. The prizes will be awarded to students having demonstrated outstanding development in academic and extra-curricular activities as well as of significant contributions to College or campus life in the year 2006. Candidates for these awards are nominated by staff of the College.
4. Head of College Creativity Prize
The Head of College Creativity Prize has been established to promote students' interest in creative projects. A cash prize of HK1,500 will be awarded to a student or a group of students who has demonstrated good creativity in an academic paper, research report, literary or musical composition, work of art or scientific invention completed within the past 12 months.
The application deadline for the above scholarships is 20 January 2007. For further details, please refer to the announcements on the College notice boards, the College website or enquire at the Dean of Students' Office.
學生宿舍消息
本院學生宿舍將於二零零六年十二月三十日(星期六)中午十二時至二零零七年一月三日(星期三)上午九時暫停開放，以便進行半年一度的清潔工作。為方便工作，請各宿生於十二月三十日(星期六)中午十二時前離開宿舍，並避免放置物品於地上。非本地生如需於關閉期間繼續留宿，請於十二月十六日(星期六)前以書面通知舍監。只獲配上學期宿位的同學，請於本年十二月三十日(星期六)中午十二時前到宿舍接待處辦理退宿手續。
Hostel News
All UC student hotels will be closed from 12:00noon on Saturday, 30 December 2006 to 9:00am on Wednesday, 3 January 2007 for the half-yearly cleaning operations. Residents are requested to leave the hostels during this period and not to put their personal belongings on the floor. Non-local students who wish to stay on during the said period must notify their respective wardens in writing before Saturday, 16 December 2006. Students eligible for first term residence only should check-out of the hostels by 12:00noon on Saturday, 30 December 2006.
語文改善計劃及促進雙語教學計劃 — 二零零七年春季課程
書院「語文改善計劃」及「促進雙語教學計劃」春季課程將於二零零七年一月八日至廿二日接受同學報名。同學除可報讀普通話及英語課程外，亦可報名參加將於二零零七年暑期舉行的多個不同的「外地語文及文化交流活動」及「語文學習營」。章程及報名表格可到書院學生輔導處索取。

The Language Improvement Project & The Project for Promoting Bilingual Skills —Spring Programmes 2007
Applications for the Spring courses of the College's 2007 Language Improvement Project (LIP) and the Project for Promoting Bilingual Skills will open from 8 to 22 January 2007. Apart from the local Putonghua and English courses, non-local Language and Culture Programmes as well as language immersion camps will be organized in summer 2007. Interested students may collect the programme booklets and application forms from the Dean of Students' Office.

二零零六下半年學生團體活動津貼撥款支銷之最後限期為二零零七年一月五日，各院系屬會務請於該日前依據報銷程序支銷撥款，逾期作放棄論。查詢請致電2609 7570或2609 7598與學生輔導處何惠芬女士或林偉源先生聯絡。
