聯合書院學生會消息

本院第四十五屆學生會幹事會選舉已於二月二十三及二十六日至二十八日進行投票，並於三月二日下午三時，在院長馮國培教授、輔導長劉行榕教授、院務主任李雷寶玲女士及學生會選舉委員會監察下，於湯若望宿舍禮堂進行點票。是次選舉共有五百七十三位同學投票，佔學生會會員總人數百分之二十三點三。其中對唯一候選內閣「聯合聲鳴」投信任票者共五百三十三，投不信任票者十一人，投棄權票者十七人，另廢票七張。結果「聯合聲鳴」順利當選，由三月五日起正式出任第四十五屆學生會幹事會。新幹事會成員名單如下：

　

United College Student Union News

The 45th United College Student Union Executive Committee election was held from 23, 26 to 28 Feburary 2007. The ballots were opened and counted on 2 March 2007 at 3:00pm at Adam Schall Hall under the supervision of Professor Fung Kwok Pui, Head of United College, Professor Alaster Lau, Dean of Students, Mrs Christina Li, College Secretary and United College Student Union’s ad hoc Elections Committee. A total of 573 students (23.34%) had cast their votes in the election. “United Road” the only cabinet standing for election, was elected the 45th United College Student Union Executive Committee by 512 votes to 11, with 17 abstentions and 7 invalidated ballots. The newly-elected office-bearers have assumed office on 5 March 2007. Their names and positions are as follows: 

聯合書院美國華盛頓考察計劃

聯合書院與港美中心(HK America Centre)合辦的美國華盛頓考察計劃現正接受院內同學報名。參加同學將於本年七月至八月前往美國兩星期，透過不同形式的活動如參觀、訪問及與議員、政府官員、學者及當地學生會面及研討會等，以加深對美國的司法制度及社會面貌的認識。

United College Travel Study Programme - Washington DC 

Applications are now invited from the College students to apply for the captioned Travel Study Programme jointly organized by United College and the Hong Kong America Centre. The theme of the programme is “Law and Society in America”. This 2-week study is designed to provide the participants a general introduction to the legal system and social cultures of America. Participants will learn through group discussions, visits to the Senate, courts, museums, and various government and non-government organizations as well as meetings with senators, government officials, academics and students.

Application forms and detailed information of the above programme are obtainable from the College Dean of Students' Office. 二零零七至二零零八年度聯合書院岑才生學長計劃

由校董會主席岑才生先生慷慨贊助，書院及書院校友會合辦之「二零零七至二零零八年度聯合書院岑才生學長計劃」現已開始接受報名。學長計劃旨在提供機會讓書院校友與在校同學互相認識，透過一對一的交流模式，建立友誼，分享生活及工作體驗，從而提高在校同學的心智發展，擴闊視野，增強自信，改善溝通技巧。本計劃亦設有海外學長，讓參與國際交換計劃的同學能透過海外學長的輔導，在文化及生活交流方面得到更大的幫助。

申請表格可於辦公時間內往書院學生輔導處索取或在書院網頁下載(http://www.uc.cuhk.edu.hk/chinese/applications.php)。截止申請日期為二零零七年四月二日。

United College Shum Choi Sang Mentorship Programme 2007/2008

Applications are now invited for the United College Shum Choi Sang Mentorship Programme 2007/2008. This programme is jointly organized by the College and the Alumni Association and supported by a generous donation from Mr Shum Choi-sang, Chairman of the College Board of Trustees. It provides an opportunity for alumni and undergraduates of the College to interchange through sharing of life and learning experiences. The Programme is designed to help students improve their interpersonal and communication skills, develop their social awareness and broaden their knowledge base. The programme will also recruit overseas mentors to provide support to students who have planned to take up exchange programmes during the year. 

Application forms are available at the Dean of Students’ Office, United College. They can also be downloaded from the College website(http://www.uc.cuhk.edu.hk/english/applications.php). The closing date for applications is 2 April 2007.

書院創意學生活動獎勵計劃接受申請

書院為鼓勵同學籌辦具創意的活動，特設「創意學生活動獎」供本院同學或學生團體申請。計劃目的在於鼓勵學生或學生團體籌辦優質活動；提高學生及學生組織的積極性；及推動學生積極投入校園生活。

是項計劃現正接受申請。歡迎聯合書院學生會認可的學生團體或本院同學以個人或小組名義申請。申請表格及計劃書可於二零零七年四月二十日(星期五)或以前向書院學生輔導處遞交。

得獎人或單位將獲得可觀的獎額，作為籌辦該項活動的經費。開支實報實銷。得獎個人或團體須向書院呈交活動及財政報告。本計劃由聯合書院鄭棟材博士紀念基金資助。申請表格可於書院學生輔導處索取或於書院網頁下載，查詢請電2609 7570 與書院學生輔導處林偉源先生或何惠芬女士聯絡。 

Creative Student Activity Award Programme Now Opens for Application

To encourage students to organize new or creative activities, the College has established the Creative Student Activity Award Programme since 2002.  The aims of the programmes are: 1) encouraging students or student bodies to organize quality activities; 2) encouraging students / student bodies to be more active in organizing activities; and 3) promoting students’ participation in College life.

The Programme for 2007 is now open for application. Students of United College or student organizations registered with the United College Student Union are eligible to apply. Interested parties should submit the applications and activity proposals to the Dean of Students’ Office on or before 20 April 2007.

The winning students or organization(s) will be awarded a significant amount of subsidy for organizing the programme. A detailed activity and financial reports must be submitted to the College upon completion of the programme.

This award programme is funded by the United College T C Cheng Memorial Fund.  Application forms are available at the Dean of Students’ Office or from the College homepage.  For further information contact Mr George Lam or Ms Kitty Ho at 2609 7570.

「和諧教育與和諧人生」教學研究周年大會

由「香港教師會」主辦、香港歷史博物館及聯合書院協辦的「和諧教育與和諧人生」教學研究周年大會已於三月十日在香港歷史博物館演講廳舉行。

Annual Conference by the Hong Kong Teachers’ Association

The annual conference organized by the Hong Kong Teachers’ Association, co-organized by United College and the Hong Kong Museum of History was held in the Hong Kong Museum of History on 10 March 2007. The theme of the conference is “和諧教育與和諧人生”.

二零零七至零八年度學生住宿申請

2007/2008年度聯合書院學生住宿申請表格將於二零零七年三月二十六日起開始派發，同學可於辦公時間內往書院學生輔導處索取或於書院網頁下載（http://www. cuhk.edu.hk/uc/forms/forms.html）。填妥之申請表須於二零零七年四月二十日或以前交回聯合書院學生輔導處，逾期或資料不足之申請概不受理。

Applications for the 2007/2008 Regular Term Residence

Application forms for the 2007/2008 regular term residence in the College’s student hostels are available at the Dean of Students’ Office, United College from 26 March 2007. They can also be downloaded from the College website: http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/forms/forms.html. Completed application forms should be submitted to the same office on or before 20 April 2007. Late applications will not be considered. 

學生暑期住宿申請

Applications for Summer Residence

Applications for this year’s summer residence in UC student hostels will open on 2 April 2007. For further details, please refer to the College notice-boards or approach the Dean of Students' Office. Applications close on 26 April 2007.

招聘暑期工作人員

本院學生宿舍將於二零零七年六月至八月期間開放予外界及學生團體租用，現擬招聘學生助理一名，協助接待及管理工作。申請表格可往學生輔導處索取或於書院網頁下載，截止申請日期為二零零七年三月三十日。查詢請致電2609 7574與胡太或潘小姐聯絡。
