書院五十周年紀念活動 ―「魏唐三昧 ― 蘇文擢教授法書展」及「蘇文擢教授詩詞朗誦會」
蘇文擢教授法書展
由香港中文大學聯合書院、文物館、大學圖書館系統及鳴社主辦的「魏唐三昧 — 蘇文擢教授法書展」已於二零零七年四月二十日正式開幕。
是日蒙聯合書院院長馮國培教授、文物館館長林業強教授、大學圖書館館長施達理博士、蘇文擢教授夫人蘇楊淑明女士、學海書樓主席賴恬昌先生及鳴社社長蘇文玖先生蒞臨主禮，並蒙多位校外嘉賓、聯合書院校董、校友、大學及書院同仁等撥冗親臨觀禮，場面熱鬧。為感謝中文大學各單位主辦是項書法展覽，並紀念蘇文擢教授對香港中文大學的貢獻，典禮當天鳴社並將蘇教授墨寶壹份捐贈予香港中文大學永久保存，墨寶由文物館館長林業強教授代爲接收，存放文物館。
是次展覽將於即日起至五月三十一日於大學圖書館展覽廰，及六月五日至三十日於胡忠多媒體圖書館舉行，歡迎大學同仁及公衆人士到臨參觀。如有查詢，請致電2609 8786與大學圖書館鄒小姐聯絡。
蘇文擢教授詩詞朗誦會
為紀念蘇教授於國學、書法及朗誦藝術之卓越成就，及對聯合書院之貢獻，另一蘇文擢教授紀念活動「蘇文擢教授詩詞朗誦會」亦已於二零零七年四月二十一日在王統元堂舉行。當日特別邀請了朗誦專家、學者及曾在校際朗誦節表現傑出之學生，朗誦蘇教授詩詞作品三十餘首，以紀念及表彰其對朗誦藝術之貢獻，並向學界推廣我國古典詩詞藝術傳揚中國文化。朗誦表演者包括聯合書院校董暨聯合書院校友殷巧兒女士、香港中文大學專責項目處長暨聯合書院校友伍展明先生、聯合書院校友馮祿德先生、香港大學文學院副院長暨聯合書院校友施仲謀教授､香港大學中文學院主任單周堯教授、著名學者陳耀南教授､香港學校音樂及朗誦協會主席宋立揚先生及培僑中學校長招祥麒博士等。
Celebration of the College 50th Anniversary ― The Calligraphy Exhibition and Recitations from Professor So Man-jock (1921-1997)
The Brush Dances and the Ink Sings: the Calligraphy of Professor So Man-jock (1921-1997)
The exhibition titled “The Brush Dances and the Ink Sings: the Calligraphy of Professor So Man-jock (1921-1997)” was officially opened on 20 April 2007. The exhibition is co-organized by United College, Art Museum and University Library System of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Ming Society.
Professor Fung Kwok Pui, Head of United College, Professor Peter Lam, Director of Art Museum, Dr Colin Storey, University Librarian of University Library System, Mrs So Man-jock, Mr T C Lai, Chairman of Hok Hoi Library, Mr So Man-kow, President of Ming Society officiated at the opening ceremony. Attending the ceremony were trustees of the United College, officers of the University, alumni as well as other guests. To thank all CUHK units in organizing the exhibition, and to commemorate Professor So Man-jock's contributions to the University, Ming Society had also at the ceremony donated a piece of Professor So's calligraphy to The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Peter Lam received the calligraphy which would be permanently placed at the Art Museum.
The exhibition is held from 21 April 2007 to 31 May 2007 at the University Library Exhibition Hall and from 5 June to 30 June 2007 at Wu Chung Multimedia Library. It is open to public. For enquires, please contact Ms Chau of University Library System at 2609 8786
Recitations from Professor So Man-jock (1921-1997): His Shi and Ci Poetry
Another event in commemoration of Professor So's distinguished achievements, “Recitations from Professor So Man-jock (1921-1997): His Shi and Ci Poetry” has been held on 21 April 2007 at T Y Wong Hall. Performers comprised Ms Yan H Y Lina, trustee and alumna of United College, Mr Ng C M Stephen, Director of Special Projects, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and also alumnus of United College, Mr L T Fung, alumnus of Untied College, Professor C M Si, Associate Head of School of Chinese, The University of Hong Kong and also alumnus of United College, Professor C Y Sin, Head of School of Chinese, The University of Hong Kong, Professor Y N Chan, renowned scholar, Mr Sung Li-young, President of Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association, and Dr Chiu Cheung-ki, Principal of Pui Kiu Middle School, etc.

署理輔導長任命
輔導長劉行榕教授將於二零零七年五月二十七日至二十九日隨藥理學系訪問新加坡國立大學。期間由地理與資源管理學系鄒桂昌教授出任署理輔導長。
Appointment of Acting Dean of Students
Professor Alaster Lau, Dean of Students, will be on leave from 27 to 29 May 2007 for visiting Singapore National University with Department of Pharmacology. Professor Chau Kwai Cheong, Department of Geography and Resource Management, will be the Acting Dean of Students during this period.
文化藝術活動 — 利漢楨先生夜話
書院邀得旅美藝術家利漢楨先生於二零零七年三月二十九日假思源文娛中心與大家分享他的藝術心得。他是次以「雕塑、個人、師友」為題，藉此分享他的豐富藝術心路歷程。利先生有二十年教授雕塑和版畫課程的經驗。他又兼職大學畫廊主任十一年，籌辦各種大小型畫展。
Arts and Cultural Activities — Mr Lee Hon Ching's Night Talk
The College invited Mr Lee Hon Ching to give a night talk at Si Yuan Amenities Centre on 29 March 2007. Mr Lee spoke on “Sculpture•Me•Friends” to share his artistic journey. Mr Lee Hon Ching taught sculpture and printmaking at the college level for about twenty years, participated in many art exhibitions and national and international sculpture and printmaking conferences and symposia, and for eleven years directed a college art gallery which featured works by artists of national and international reputations and backgrounds.
