二零零六年度大學長期服務獎

本院兩名教職員獲二零零六年度大學長期服務獎，頒獎典禮已於二零零七年四月二日舉行。名單如下：

The University's Long Service Award 2006 

Two United College staff received the University's Long Service Award 2006 on 2 April 2007. They are:

二零零七至二零零八年度學生校園培訓及服務獎勵計劃

二零零七至二零零八年度(7/2007–6/2008)書院學生校園培訓及服務獎勵計劃第一輪撥款將接受申請。該計劃旨在協助學生獲得經濟奬勵及工作經驗。學生輔導處將於五月十六日寄發申請資料予本院教職員。如有查詢，請向學生輔導處彭詠芯女士2609 7562或陳鄧翠怡女士2609 8657查詢。截止申請日期為二零零七年五月三十一日，結果將於六月底前知會各申請人。

Student Campus Training and Service Award Scheme for 2007/2008

Applications are now invited for the first-round allocation of the UC Student Campus Training and Service Award Scheme for 2007/2008 (7/2007–6/2008). The Scheme aims to provide financial award to UC students and to help them gain some working experiences. Application materials will be dispatched to College members on 16 May 2007. For further information please contact Ms Sam Pang at 2609 7562 or Mrs Eastre Chan at 2609 8657. Completed application forms should be submitted by 31 May 2007. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by the end of June 2007.

書院教職員聯誼會消息

1)書院教職員聯誼會及書院環境委員會 ― 植樹同樂日

由書院教職員聯誼會及書院環境委員會合辦之「植樹同樂日」已於二零零七年四月二十八日完滿結束，行程包括從嘉道理農場暨植物園登大帽山植樹及於大埔林村晚餐。共三十九名教職員及家屬參加。 

2) 二零零六至二零零七年度歡送晚宴

書院教職員聯誼會於二零零七年六月七日(星期四)下午六時正假張祝珊師生康樂大樓文怡閣舉行歡送晚宴，餞別即將榮休及離職之同寅：

晚宴費用每位一百元(包括餐費及致送紀念品予上列同寅)。有意參加是次晚宴者，請電 2696 1750與聯合書院學生輔導處林煒婷女士聯絡。

News from the College Staff Association

1) UC Staff Association and Environment Committee ― Tree Planting Day

Tree Planting Day co-organized by the United College Staff Association and Environment Committee was held on 28 April 2007. Programme included hiking from Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden to Tai Mo Shan for tree planting and dinner at Lam Tsuen, Tai Po. 39 College staff members and their families joined this event.

2) 2006/2007 Farewell Dinner

The College Staff Association will hold a Farewell Dinner on Thursday, 7 June 2007 at 6:00pm at the College Staff Common Room in honour of the following retiring/departing members of the College:

 * will attend the farewell dinner

Dinner fee is $100 per head (including meal and souvenirs for the retiring/departing members). To reserve a seat, please contact Ms Vivian Lam, Dean of Students' Office, United College at 2696 1750.

聯合書院教職員學業優異獎

適逢書院五十週年的紀念，校友會已為書院籌募「明德新民學業優異獎」，學生會也正為書院籌辦籌款活動。同時，書院院務委員和教職員亦已捐獻了接近港幣四萬元以成立「聯合書院教職員學業優異獎」。由於只要籌集港幣五萬元後，該項獎項便可永久頒發，書院希望各位同仁能慷慨解囊，以鼓勵聯合書院同學努力求學，並作為書院五十週年的紀念。懇請大家踴躍捐贈，使書院在慶祝金禧紀念之時，倍添意義。如對這次募捐活動或書院之未來發展有任何建議，歡迎隨時聯絡書院院務主任李雷寶玲女士(電話﹕2609 7577)。捐款表格可於http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/forms/UnitedCollegeStaffPrize.pdf下載，填妥後請交回書院院務室。

United College Staff Prize

Stepping into the Golden Jubilee Year, UC Alumni Association has already established the “Ming De Xin Min Academic Prize” while the UC Student Union is also organizing some fund-raising activities for the College. Besides, the members of Assembly of Fellows and College Staff have also donated nearly HK$40,000 for setting up a “United College Staff Prize”. If the fund raised reaches HK$50,000, the prize will be permanently awarded to students every year. In view of this, the College urges the generous support from all UC staff members to join the above fund-raising campaign in order to encourage UC students and as an echo to the College's fund-raising activities in the Golden Jubilee Year. Should you wish to discuss with the College your visions in the development of the College, please feel free to contact Mrs. Christina Li, College Secretary at 2609 7577.
