位於書院鄭棟材樓地庫的思源文娛中心(思源館)由本年八月十六日起已重新開放，歡迎中大師生及校友使用。中心內設有酒吧、表演台、私人宴會室等供使用或租用。中心營業時間為星期二至五，下午五時至晚上十一時，星期六及星期日下午三時至晚上九時。凡惠顧思源館，可獲免費泊車。

Si Yuan Amenities Centre Reopens and Free Parking Available

The Si Yuan Amenities Centre has reopened business on 16 August 2007. All staff, students and alumni of the Chinese University of Hong Kong are welcomed to make use of the splendid services and facilities of the Centre including the pub, karaoke room and private function room. The Centre is located on the lower ground floor of T C Cheng Building, United College. It opens on Tuesdays to Fridays from 5:00pm to 11:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Free parking will be given to patrons of the Si Yuan Amenities Centre.

書院運動設施星期日開放予書院師生校友使用

由二零零七年九月十六日起，書院將於授課期內之星期日開放運動設施予書院教職員、學生及書院校友會會員，亦歡迎教職員及校友家屬使用。各項設施不設收費，並以先到先得形式提供。除網球場外，其他設施均毋須預約。

聯合書院體育部運動設施:

(地點: 聯合書院張祝珊師生康樂中心一樓)

* 網球場(地點: 聯合路與士林路交界)

授課期內之星期日開放時間(二零零七年九月至二零零八年四月)為下午二時十五分至晚上九時

Opening of UC Sports Facilities on Sundays for United College Staff, Students and Alumni

With effect from 16 September 2007, the United College Sports Facilities will be opened on Sundays during academic term for United College members including Staff, Students and Alumni who have joined the United College Alumni Association. Family members of Staff and Alumni are also welcome. The facilities will be provided free-of-charge on a first-come-first-served basis and advance booking is not necessary (except for Tennis Courts).

Facilities Available at United College Physical Education Unit: (Venue: 1/F, Cheung Chuk Shan Amenities Centre, United College)

* Thomas Cheung Gymnasium

* Physical Fitness Room

* Table Tennis Room

* Tennis Courts (Venue: Junction of United Road & Residence Road)

Opening Hours on Sundays (SEP 2007-APR 2008): 2:15pm – 9:00pm

圖書館將會播放一齣介紹華裔建築設計師林瓔(Maya Lin)之錄影資料，林瓔在美國是一位備受爭議的藝術家；在影片中Maya會談及作為藝術家、雕刻家的工作和生活感受。

Wu Chung Multimedia Library is pleased to offer video shows on Scenic America. These films show you the living edens of American:

- Depicts the natural wonders of the United States' largest park, including Mount McKinley.

- Features the wild animals and plant life that lives in Big Sur, constituting the 100 miles of coastland beneath the Monterey Peninsula.

- Explores Yellowstone's unique scenery, including Old Faithful, Fountain Geyser, Yellowstone Falls, Mammoth Hotsprings and many more sites in the Park.

- Shows hidden jewels of the Colorado River as well as raft adventures on the rapids of Cataract Canyon and Grand Canyon.

Wu Chung Multimedia Library is pleased to offer a documentary video about Maya Lin. At the age of 21, Maya became one of the most controversial artists in the United States. In this film, Maya talks with Bill Moyers about being an artist/sculptor and architect --- she talks about a life and a career that has been shaped by her Asian-American heritage and love for the natural environment.
