二零零七年度校長盃初賽及決賽將於十一月七日至廿五日舉行，各項初賽舉行地點及時間詳列如下：

VC's Cup 2007

The heat and final of the VC's Cup 2007 will be held from 7 to 25 November 2007. The time and venue of the heat competitions are as follows:

The final matches of the VC's Cup 2007 will be held on 25 November 2007 (Sunday). Your support and company to the United College sport teams is welcome.  Please come and join the cheer squad for this special event. 不受歡迎設施選址 : 課題與挑戰國際會議

由中大環境政策與資源管理研究中心主辦之「不受歡迎設施選址：課題與挑戰國際會議」將於本年十二月十二至十四日 (星期三至五) 於利黄瑤璧樓舉行。聯合書院為贊助單位之一。

International Conference on Siting Locally Unwanted Facilities: Challenges And Issues

Centre for Environmental Policy and Resource Management of the University will organize an International Conference entitled "Siting Locally Unwanted Facilities: Challenges and Issues" from 12 to 14 December 2007 (Wednesday to Friday) at Esther Lee Building.  United College is one of the sponsors of this academic event.

二零零七至二零零八年度學生校園培訓及服務獎勵計劃  (第二輪撥款申請)

為協助同學獲得實際工作及研究經驗，書院設有一項「學生校園培訓及服務獎勵計劃」，鼓勵教職員任用同學作學生助手。學生助手目前的獎勵金額為每小時港幣五十元，服務範圍甚廣並遍及各系及行政部門。

二零零七至二零零八年度學生校園培訓及服務獎勵計劃第二輪撥款現正接受申請。輔導處將於十一月十六日寄發申請資料予本院教職員。如有查詢，請致電2609 7562或2609 8657與書院學生輔導處彭詠芯女士或陳鄧翠怡女士聯絡。截止申請日期為十一月三十日，書院將於二零零七年十二月底前通知各申請人有關結果。

Student Campus Training and Service Award Scheme for 2007/2008  (2nd Allocation Exercise)

The United College Student Campus Training and Service Award Scheme is set up to help students gain work and research experience. Under the Scheme, students are engaged as helpers to serve at various academic and administrative departments and units. At present, the hourly award rate is HK$50. Interested students can apply for registration as student helpers at the College Dean of Students' Office. 

Applications are now invited for the second-round allocation of the UC Student Campus Training and Service Award Scheme for 2007/2008. Application materials will be dispatched to College members on 16 November 2007.  For further information please contact Ms Sam Pang or Mrs Eastre Chan of the Dean of Students' Office at 2609 7562 or 2609 8657.  Completed application forms should be submitted by 30 November 2007.  Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by the end of December 2007.

1) Annual General Meeting 2007

Staff Association AGM had been held on 5 October 2007 at the College Staff Common Room. The AGM accepted the Annual Report and Audited Accounts of the Association presented by the 2006/2007 Executive Committee and elected the following office-bearers to form the 2007/2008 Executive Committee:
