聯合書院「優先錄取計劃」資訊日

聯合書院於五月十日及十七日上午為二零零八至二零零九年度新一批透過「優先錄取計劃」入讀中文大學的新生舉行了兩次資訊日，約有一百三十多名新生出席。資訊日的活動包括由書院院長及輔導長介紹中文大學書院制度及聯合書院的特色；此外，還有在學同學分享書院生活、書院資料展覽及參觀校園等。 

本學年更多成績優異的中六尖子以聯合書院為第一志願，其中包括十優生，書院並增加了入學獎學金名額，以及學習交流機會，以資鼓勵。

United College Orientation Sessions for Students under Early Admission Scheme

The College organized two orientation sessions for the new cohort of students admitted under the Early Admission Scheme on 10 and 17 May 2008.  Orientation activities included introduction of the College System and unique United College attributes by College Head and College Dean of Students, sharing session by current students, College information display and campus tours. About 130 students attended the sessions.  

More outstanding students of the Early Admissions Scheme (EAS), including a student with 10A at HKCEE, choose United College as the top choice.  The College offers more admission scholarships, as well as exchange opportunities, to EAS students.

「邁進地球村計劃」歡送會

聯合書院於二零零八年五月十四日為參加了本年度書院「邁進地球村計劃」的同學舉行了一個歡送會，不同計劃的學術顧問也有出席歡送會，並就個別計劃為參加的同學作詳細介紹。

Pre-departure Party of GOAL Programme 

The College organized a pre-departure party for the participants of this year's GOAL programme on 14 May 2008. Academic Advisers of different programmes attended the party and gave the participants very detailed briefing on how to prepare for the trips.

校園健康大使計劃畢業典禮

第五屆校園健康大使計劃由大學健康促進及防護委員會主辦，並於二零零八年五月十五日舉行畢業禮。本院同學除獲頒發「校園保健大使」證書外，更於活動成果報告中獲得傑出活動獎。

Graduation Ceremony of Campus Health Ambassador Programme

Eight College students took part in Campus Health Ambassador Programme organized by the University's Health Promotion and Protection Committee. A graduation ceremony was held on 15 May 2008. Our students not only received certificates for the completion of the programme, but also won an award for their outstanding health promotion report.

聯合書院岑才生學長計劃年終經驗分享會

第八屆聯合書院岑才生學長計劃年終經驗分享會已於二零零八年五月十七日（星期六）假書院思源文娛中心順利舉行。當日有五十多位學長、學員和統籌委員會成員出席，透過大會分享，暢談彼此在過去一年參與學長計劃的經驗和感受，並對來年的工作提出寶貴意見。學長和學員於會後享用下午茶自助燒烤，歡渡了一個輕鬆愉快的週末。

United College Shum Choi Sang Mentorship Programme Year-end Sharing Session

This year's United College Shum Choi Sang Mentorship Programme year-end sharing session was held at the Si Yuan Amenities Centre on Saturday, 17 May 2008. Over 50 mentors, mentees and members of the Coordinating Committee participated in sharing their experience and offering suggestions for future improvement. After the sharing session, they enjoyed a delicious BBQ buffet.

海外及研究獎學金頒獎茶聚

本年度書院海外及研究獎學金頒獎茶聚已於二零零八年六月五日在思源文娛中心舉行。當日出席的嘉賓包括捐獎人梁鶴年先生、書院獎學金及學生資助委員會主席胡錦生教授、院長馮國培教授、獲獎同學、家長及書院同人等。

Tea-gathering with Overseas and Postgraduate Scholarship Recipients

A tea-gathering for this year's overseas and postgraduate scholarship recipients was held on 5 June 2008 at the Si Yuan Amenities Centre. Mr Stephen LEUNG, donor of the S Leung Postgraduate Scholarship, Professor WOO Kam-sang, Chairman of the Scholarships and Student Finance Committee, Professor FUNG Kwok-pui, College Head, scholarship recipients and their parents and members of the College were present.

第十五屆萌芽學者學術交流計劃 

本院萌芽學者學術交流團一行八人由學術顧問本院書院通識主任張雙慶教授帶領下，於二零零八年六月五日至十四日期間出訪山東大學交流。期間聯合書院萌芽學者並以「儒學與現代企業管理」為題進行專題研究，並在山東大學公開發表有關研究結果。

The 15^th Budding Scholars Exchange Programme

Seven budding scholars of the College, accompanied by their Academic Adviser, Professor CHANG Song-hing, Dean of the College General Education visited Shandong University from 5  to 14 June 2008.  The United College students conducted a seminar at Shandong University on the topic of "Confucianism and Modern Enterprise Management"

新生輔導營

二零零八年聯合書院新生輔導營定於八月二十至二十三日在書院校園舉行，主題為「聯合之巔，神話嶄現」。籌委會希望透過四日三夜的新生輔導營令新生感受到聯合書院的強盛氣勢，並透過參與輔導營的活動，發掘個人潛能，培養對書院的歸屬感，並最終以身為光輝聯合人而感到自豪。查詢請致電9317 8195與書院輔導營籌委會主席胡錦宏同學聯絡。

Orientation Camp

The 2008 United College Orientation Camp will be held on the College campus from 20 to 23 August 2008.  The theme of the camp is ''United Legends''.  In the four-day-three-night camp, the Organizing Committee hopes that freshmen can be enlightened by the College spirit, and feel proud to be a Glorious United Man.  Through participating in the camp activities, freshmen could explore their potentials, and develop their sense of belonging towards the College. 新生開學典禮

本年度書院新生開學典禮訂於二零零八年九月五日（星期五）下午一時三十分假邵逸夫堂舉行，歡迎本院員生蒞臨觀禮，書院安排於當日正午十二時假文怡閣舉行午餐，敬希教職員踴躍出席支持。午餐後將有專車送嘉賓前往邵逸夫堂出席典禮，並於合照後接載同仁返回書院。查詢請致電2609 7570與書院學生輔導處林偉源先生或何惠芬女士聯絡。

Initiation Ceremony for Freshmen

The 2008/2009 Initiation Ceremony for Freshmen will be held on Friday, 5 September 2008 at 1:30pm at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall.  All College members are invited to join the College in welcoming this year's freshmen.
