聯合書院思源文娛中心「思源館」重新開放

聯合書院思源文娛中心「思源館」將於2008年10月8日起重新開放，由書院直接管理。「思源館」位於聯合書院鄭棟材樓地庫，面積約三百六十平方米，可容納約一百人。館內設有酒吧、表演台、卡拉OK及桌球室等供使用或租用。中心營業時間為星期二至五，下午5時至晚上11時；星期六、星期日及公眾假期，下午3時至晚上9時。

聯合書院「思源館」由思源基金會於2001年捐助建立，專為香港中文大學師生及校友服務。館內環境優美，裝修高雅、更可遠眺吐露港。歡迎校內單位、學生團體及校友租用「思源館」作研討會、講座、學生活動、校友聚會及私人派對等用途。 訂座及查詢請致電2609 7574/2603 7486。 

為慶祝思源館重新投入服務，十月期間凡於非繁忙時間惠顧杯裝生啤，一律買一送一。

United College Si Yuan Amenities Centre Reopens

The United College Si Yuan Amenities Centre will reopen on 8 October 2008 under new management. The Centre will open on Tuesdays to Fridays from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Centre is situated on the lower ground floor of T C Cheng Building, United College. It has a total floor area of 360 square meters and can serve up to 100 people. The Centre features a bar, a performance stage, a karaoke lounge and a pool table. It is a perfect place to relax and socialize after class or work.

The United College Si Yuan Amenities Centre was established in 2001 through a generous donation from the Si Yuan Foundation. The Centre is open to students, staff and alumni of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It is also an ideal venue for holding departmental workshops, talks, students' activities, alumni reunion gatherings and parties, etc. For reservation or enquiry, please call 26097574 / 26037486.

To celebrate its grand reopening, the Centre will offer buy one draught beer get one free during happy hours till the end of October.

胡忠多媒體圖書館消息

胡忠多媒體圖書館將會展出以「2008年美國總統選舉」 為題的專題展覽，展覽期間會直播美國總統選舉實況，並會展出有關美國政治制度及總統選舉有關的書籍，並會播放總統候選人辯論的電視節目，期間並會播放切合展題的錄影資料。

節目包括：

-直播美國總統選舉實況
-影片播放
-書籍展覽

日期：2008年10月13日至11月14日
地點：胡忠多媒體圖書館地下等離子電視欣賞區

此節目由美國總領事館訊息資源中心協辦。

News from United College Wu Chung Multimedia Library 

Wu Chung Multimedia Library is pleased to offer an exhibition on "US Presidential Election 2008". The exhibition includes book display and selected audio visual materials as well as TV shows on the presidential debates. There will also be a live broadcast on the Election Day on November 4.

Programmes include:

- Live Broadcast: 2008 presidential election
- Video Show
- Book Display
