校董會消息

聯合書院校董會宣佈於2009年6月9日書院第六十五次校董會通過下列十位校董獲選連任，任期三年，由2009年8月1日至2012年7月31日止。

陳曽燾博士、鄭裕彤博士、蔡冠深博士、馮慶鏘先生、李兆基博士、

李國章教授、吳朱蓮芬女士、岑啟基先生、譚偉豪博士、王緒亮先生

林宣武先生則以大學校董身份獲委出任聯合書院校董，任期由2009年4月15日起生效，與其大學校董的任

期相同。張鉅堂先生則獲選新任校董，任期為兩年，由2009年8月1日至2011年7月31日。

聯合書院院長連任

大學校董會於6月15日第三次會議(2009)通過聯合書院院長馮國培教授再度連任，任期三年，由2009年8月1日起生效。

Reappointment of Head of United College

University Council approved at its 3rd Meeting(2009) on 15 June 2009 that Professor Fung Kwok-pui has been reappointed as Head of United College for three years from 1 August 2009.

聯合書院輔導長續任

體育運動科學系王香生教授將續任書院輔導長，任期三年，由2009年8月1日至2012年7月31日。

Reappointment of Dean of Students of United College

Professor Stephen H S Wong of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education will be reappointed as the College Dean of Students for a term of three years from 1 August 2009 to 31 July 2012.

聯合書院通識教育主任及通識教育副主任任命

化學系余濟美教授及中國語言及文學系張雙慶教授分別獲委任為本院通識教育主任及通識教育副主任，任期三年，由2009年8月1日至2012年7月31日。

Appointments of Dean of General Education and Associate Dean of General Education of United College

Professor Jimmy C M Yu of the Department of Chemistry and Professor Chang Song-hing of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature will be appointed as the College Dean of General Education and the College Associate Dean of General Education respectively, for a term of three years from 1 August 2009 to 31 July 2012.

大學教務會及校董會書院代表

余濟美教授當選為大學教務會及校董會之聯合書院代表，其任期分別為2009年8月1 日至2011年7月31日及2009年9月5日至2012年9月4 日。

Professor Jimmy C M Yu has been elected by the Assembly of Fellows as College representative in the University Senate and Council with terms of service of 1 August 2009 to 31 July 2011 and 5 September 2009 to 4 September 2012 respectively.

署理院長任命

院長馮國培教授於2009年7月10日至13日前往北京及上海，與兩地校友會的幹事及當地校友會面。上述期間由書院輔導長王香生教授出任署理院長。

另馮院長將於2009年7月17日至22日休假，上述期間由書院通識教育主任張雙慶教授出任署理院長。

Appointment of Acting Head

Professor Fung Kwok-pui, College Head, was invited by the Alumni Association in Beijing and Shanghai, to visit CUHK alumni in Beijing and Shanghai from 10 to 13 July 2009. Professor Stephen H S Wong, Dean of Students, was the Acting Head during the above period.

Furthermore, Professor Fung will be on leave from 17 to 22 July 2009. Professor Chang Song-hing, Dean of General Education, will be the Acting Head during the above period.

署理書院輔導長任命

書院輔導長王香生教授於2009年6月10至14日前往中國青島出席由中國運動醫學學會舉辦之全國會議，上述期間將由新聞及傳播學院馮應謙教授出任署理輔導長。

Professor Stephen H S Wong, Dean of Students, attended The Chinese Sports Medicine Society Conference in Qingdao, China from 10 to 14 June 2009. Professor Anthony Y H Fung of School of Journalism and Communication was the Acting Dean of Students during the above period.

Furthermore, Professor Wong will be on leave from 27 July to 7 August 2009. During this period, the appointment of the Acting Dean will be arranged as follows:

本院成員獲2008年度香港書獎

本院榮譽院務委員暨前院長陳天機教授的著作《天羅地網──科學與人文的探索》及本院榮休教授陳之藩教授的著作《思與花開》均獲選2008年度優秀書籍。此獎項由香港電台、康樂及文化事務署香港公共圖書館及香港出版總會合辦。

College Member Awarded Hong Kong Book Prize 2008

The publications "A Web from Sky to Earth―Quest for Science and the Humanities" written by Professor Chen Tien-chi, College Honourary Fellow and former College Head, and "Musings in Bloom" written by Professor Chen Chih-fan, College retired staff, were awarded 2008 Hong Kong Book Prize. The Book Prize was co-organised by Radio Television Hong Kong, Hong Kong Public Libraries, Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Hong Kong Publishing Federation Limited.

書院迎接3-3-4學制集思會

聯合書院院務委員於2009年5月16日舉行集思會，討論書院為迎接3-3-4學制的發展方向，並特別就通識教育、學生關顧服務及書院行政支援方面提出了寶貴的建議。

College Brainstorming Session for the 3-4-4 Curriculum

A Brainstorming Session for the Direction of College Development for the 3-3-4 curriculum was held on 16 May 2009. Fellows of the College discussed in particular on the aspects of general education, student services and college administration to support 3-3-4, and made valuable recommendations on the issues concerned.

東莞開平世界遺產碉樓三天團

由書院生活委員會、書院教職員聯誼會及書院校友會合辦之「東莞開平世界遺產碉樓三天團」已於2009年5月8日至10日完成，共二十多位教職員、校友及家屬參加是次充滿趣味的文化活動。

Dongguan and Kaiping Diaolou (Fortified Tower House) Three-day Tour

A three-day tour to Dongguan and Kaiping Diaolou was co-organised by the UC College Life Committee, Staff Association, and Alumni Association from 8 to 10 May 2009. Over twenty College staff, alumni and their families joined this joyful cultural tour.

聯合書院馮國培院長盃頒獎禮暨教職員校友同樂日

聯合書院書院生活委員會已於2009年5月16日（星期六）舉行「聯合書院馮國培院長盃頒獎禮暨教職員校友同樂日」。多位教職員、校友及同學在聯合書院張煊昌體育館進行球類比賽。師生及校友們均投入比賽，氣氛激烈，並於活動後共晉晚餐。各項比賽成績如下：

United College Head's Cup―K P Fung Cup Prize Presentation Ceremony cum Games Day for Staff and Alumni was organised by the College Life Committee on 16 May 2009 at the United College Thomas Cheung Gymnasium. 北京大學元培學院訪問聯合書院

北京大學元培學院副院長蘇彥捷教授率領代表團於2009年5月29日訪問聯合書院，由本院通識教育副主任余濟美教授、院務主任李雷寶玲女士及助理院務主任李珮珊女士接待，余教授並講解香港中文大學的書院制度及介紹聯合書院。

Yuanpei College Visited United College

A delegation of Yuanpei College, Peking University, led by Professor Su Yanjie, visited United College on 29 May 2009. Professor Jimmy C M Yu, Associate Dean of General Education; Mrs Christina Li, College Secretary; and Ms Sandy P S Lee, Assistant College Secretary, received the guests. Professor Yu explained the CUHK's collegiate system and introduced United College.

A delegation of twenty-one management and executives of student affairs in higher education from Hubei Province paid a visit to United College on 19 June 2009. Professor Stephen H S Wong, Dean of Students and Ms Sandy P S Lee, Assistant College Secretary, introduced the collegiate system and introduced United College.
