2) 2010年檯曆
教職員聯誼會2010年檯曆芯已印備，各會員可由即日起親臨曾肇添樓書院學生輔導處領取，先到先得，送完即止。

3) 聖誕聯歡會
教職員聯誼會訂於2009年12月18日（星期五）正午12時假書院文怡閣舉行。聯歡會將設多項遊戲及抽獎節目，並備有火雞及多款應節美食，以饗會員。歡迎會員踴躍參加，每位收費50元。查詢請致電

2)Year 2010 Desk Calendar
The Staff Association's Year 2010 desk calendar refills are available for members' collection from the College's Dean of Students' Office, Tsang Shiu Tim Building on a first-come-first-served basis.

3) Christmas Party
UC Staff Association Christmas Party will be held on Friday, 18 December 2009 at 12:00 noon at the College Staff Common Room. All members are welcome to join. There will be fabulous Christmas cuisines and gifts for members, not to mention the grand lucky draw with many great prizes. The fee is $50 per person with generous subsidies from the Staff Association. 本院成員深入雲南山區捐款助學

本院成員兼校友管理學系黃熾森教授(83/工管)於內地雲南山區助學九年，並與同事捐款逾一百五十萬元，為山區貧窮學童提供學費補助和重建校舍。
　
College Member Visited the Mountain Area of Yunnan to Provide Financial Aid to Local Students

College member and alumnus, Professor Wong Chi-sum (83/GBM), Department of Management, has provided financial aid to students in mountain area of Yunnan for nine years. He and his colleagues have also donated over HK$1,500,000 to subsidy the tuition fees of the poor children and redeveloped their schools.
　
本院成員獲頒傑出貢獻獎

本院成員太空與地球資訊科學研究所（太空所）所長林琿教授獲國際學術組織亞洲遙感協會頒發傑出貢獻獎，以表揚林教授對推動遙感科技的貢獻。林教授是首位獲此殊榮的香港科學家。

College Member Awarded Outstanding Contribution Prize

College member, Professor Lin Hui, Director of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science (ISEIS) was awarded an Outstanding Contribution Prize by the Asian Association to pay tribute to his contribution on Remote Sensing technology. Professor Lin is the first Hong Kong scholar being honoured with this award.

本院成員機械與自動化工程學系杜如虛教授獲國際權威組織美國機械工程師學會(ASME)推選為院士，以表揚他在機械與自動化工程學上的重大貢獻。

College Member Elected ASME Fellow

College member, Professor Du Ruxu from Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, has been elected Fellow of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for his great contribution in the field of Mechanical and Automation Engineering.

本院資深書院導師朱鴻林教授獲委任為歷史系客座教授，由2009年8月1日生效。
　
Honorary Appointment

Professor Chu Hung-lam, Senior College Tutor, has been appointed as Adjunct Professor, Department of History with effect from 1 August 2009.

禮任

1) 院長馮國培教授獲大學禮任為中醫學院教授，由2009年11月1日生效。
2) 本院成員孔祥復教授、伍百祥教授、彭智培教授、湯寧信教授及余卓文教授分別獲大學禮任為生物醫學學院教授，由2009年10月2日生效。
3) 本院成員陳揚超教授及杜健華教授獲大學禮任為生物醫學學院助理教授，由2009年10月2日生效。

Courtesy Appointments

1) College Head, Professor Fung Kwok-pui, has been appointed Professor (by courtesy), School of Chinese Medicine with effect from 1 November 2009.
2) College member, Professor Kung Hsiang-fu, Professor Ng Pak-cheung, Professor Pang Chi-pui, Professor Brian Tomlinson and Professor Yu Cheuk-man have been appointed Professor (by courtesy) respectively, School of Biomedical Sciences with effect from 2 October 2009.
3) College members, Professor Chen Yang-chao and Professor To Kin-wah, have been appointed Assistant Professor (by courtesy), School of Biomedical Sciences with effect from 2 October 2009.

社會服務

1) 本院成員生物系朱利民教授獲環境局局長委任為郊野公園及海岸公園委員會委員，任期兩年，由2009年9月1日生效。
2) 本院成員社會工作學系林靜雯教授獲勞工及福利局局長委任為社會工作訓練基金委員會委員，任期兩年，由2009年10月1日生效。

Community Services

1) College member, Professor Chu Lee-man from Department of Biology, has been appointed by the Secretary for the Environment as a member of the Country and Marine Parks Board for two years from 1 September 2009.
2) College member, Professor Lam Ching-man from Department of Social Work, has been appointed by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare as a member of the Social Work Training Fund Committee for two years from 1 October 2009.

訪問研究學人計劃

青島大學計算科學與工程技術研究中心田鳳惠博士於2009年11月4日至2010年2月3日期間蒞院訪問，與本院化學系余濟美教授進行學術研究。

Resident Fellow Scheme

Dr Tian Fenghui from Institute for Computational Science and Engineering, Qingdao University, PRC visited the College from 4 November 2009 to 3 February 2010 and conducted research with Professor Jimmy C M Yu from Department of Chemistry.

中國科學院許厚澤院士到訪中大太空與地球信息科學硏究所

中國科學院測量與地球物理研究所許厚澤院士於2009年11月18日到訪中大太空與地球信息科學硏究所主持講座，題目爲「集成GPS和InSAR數據反演地震震源破裂模型」。講座反應熱烈，吸引不少中大師生聽講，場面熱鬧。是次講座由聯合書院講座津貼計劃資助。

許院士的報告以2008年5.12汶川Mw7.9大地震爲背景，深入淺出地解釋了誘發大地震的地球物理和地球動力學成因與機制，以及地震震源破裂模型反演研究的重大科學意義和當前存在的問題，並詳細講解了當前該領域熱點研究課題，即集成包括全球定位系統（GPS）和衛星雷達干涉測量（InSAR）數據等空間大地測量觀測的地震震源破裂模型反演研究。

Professor Xu Houze Visited Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, CUHK

Professor Xu Houze, academician of Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences visited Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, CUHK on 18 November 2009. Professor Xu presented a public lecture titled "Rupture Propagation of Earthquake Waves using Integrated Date Modelling for GPS and InSAR Measurements" during his visit. Sponsored by United College Speaker's Fund, the lecture was well-received by a full house of teachers and students at CUHK.

Professor Xu introduced the geodynamic backgrounds and causes of the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake (Mw7.9) in his lecture. He explained the scientific significances of inversion study on the earthquake rupture process. He also demonstrated the new developments in this research filed that the rupture propagation of the Wenchuan earthquake has been modeled by the integration of multi-sources satellite geodetic observations including GPS and InSAR measurements.
