Recruitment of Resident Tutors (2010-2011) Applications are now invited from single members of the academic and administrative staff who are interested in the promotion of experiential learning amongst students and the enrichment of hostel life for appointment as Resident Tutors in United College for the academic year 2010-2011. Application forms can be obtained from the Dean of Students' Office, 2/F., Tsang Shiu Tim Building, United College or downloaded from the College website http://www2.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/eng/hostel/news.php. Completed application forms should be returned to the same office before 30 April 2010. |

書院教職員聯誼會——觀星活動及地質公園一日遊 由書院教職員聯誼會舉辦的元朗天文農莊觀星活動已於2010年3月20日完滿結束，合共三十七位聯合書院教職員及家屬出席活動。當晚除觀星活動外，亦備有盤菜晚宴，於活動尾聲更設有有獎問答遊戲，參加者反應熱烈。 此外，教職員聯誼會亦將於2010年4月17日舉辦地質公園一日遊，參觀橋咀及萬宜水庫東壩，欣賞各種地貌。活動名額已滿，多謝各位書院同仁積極支持。 |

United College Staff Association - Star-Gazing Activity and Geoparks Day Trip A Star-Gazing activity was organised by United College Staff Association at Astrofarm in Yuen Long on 20 March 2010. 37 members and their families joined the activity and the Chinese casserole dinner. Participants responded enthusiastically at the quiz session and won prizes. The Association is also organising a day trip to Geoparks on 17 April 2010 which includes a visit to Sharp Island and East Dam, High lsland to appreciate the beautiful nature landscape. Thanks to the support of College members, the quotas have been filled up and the Association looks forward to members’ participation in other activities in the future. |

聯合書院籃球技術研習班 為提高本院教職員及學生重視健康的意識，書院健康促進小組及聯合書院體育部於2010年2月27日至3月20日，假張煊昌體育館舉辦合共四節的籃球技術研習班。在書院資深書院導師潘克廉先生的指導下，學員得以提升籃球技術水平，獲益良多。 |

United College Advanced Basketball Training Course To raise the health awareness of United College staff members and students, an Advanced Basketball Training Course was co-organised by United College Task Force on Health Promotion and United College Physical Education Unit on four Saturdays between 27 February and 20 March 2010. Participants have enhanced their basketball techniques under the guidance of Mr Joachim H L Poon, Senior College Tutor. |
