書院國際會議津貼計劃報告        

在2009至2010年書院國際會議津貼計劃最後一輪撥款中，書院資助$36,570予十三位聯合教職員出席國際學術會議，詳情如下: 

1) 中國語言及文學系張雙慶教授於2010年1月8日至1月11日，出席在中國福建省舉行之第十一屆閩方言國際學術研討會會議，並發表論文一篇。

2) 中國語言及文學系張雙慶教授於2010年2月27日 至3月1日，出席在中國福建省舉行之第二屆海外漢語方言國際研討會會議，並發表論文一篇。

3) 生物系張志強教授於2010年3月21日至25日， 出席在美國三藩市舉行之第二百三十九屆全美化學學會周年大會及展覽會議，並發表論文一篇。

4) 社會學系同鈺瑩教授於2010年4月14日至17 日，出席在美國達拉斯舉行之2010年美國人口學會年會會議，並發表論文一篇。

5) 地理與資源管理學系林琿教授於2010年4月14日 至16日，出席在英國倫敦舉行之第十八屆英國地理資訊科學研究年會會議，並發表論文一篇。

6) 體育運動科學系王香生教授於2010年5月5日至 8日，出席在加拿大多倫多舉行之第三屆國際體力活動與公共衛生會議，並發表論文一篇。

7) 社會工作學系林靜雯教授於2010年5月6日至7日，出席在中國上海舉行之2010年港滬「正面成長計劃」研討會會議，並發表論文一篇。

8) 理學院封燕云教授於2010年5月11日至15日， 出席在美國紐約舉行之2010年基因組生物學研討會會議，並發表論文一篇。

9) 那打素護理學院羅佩麗教授於2010年5月27日 至30日，出席在加拿大溫哥華舉行之第七屆國際老年科技學會的世界會議，並發表論文一篇。

10) 日本研究學系井上由美女士於2010年6月12日 至13日，出席在日本岐阜市舉行之第十回日本第二言語習得學會年次大會 (J-SLA2010)會議，並發 表論文一篇。

11) 管理學系周巧笑教授於2010年6月16日至20 日，出席在中國上海市舉行之中國管理研究國際學會上海會議，並發表論文一篇。

12) 課程與教學學系麥陳淑賢教授於2010年7月2日至3日，出席在英國坎特伯里舉行之語文教學與教師培訓創新的最新發展會議，並發表論文一篇。

13) 課程與教學學系麥陳淑賢教授於2010年7月5日至7日，出席在西班牙巴斯隆拿舉行之教育與新學習科技國際學術會議，並發表論文一篇。

14) 體育部韓雪女士於2010年7月11日至16日，出 席在澳洲墨爾本舉行之第二十七屆應用心理學國際會議，並發表論文一篇。

15) 法律學院趙宇紅教授將於2010年8月2日至5 日，出席在英國劍橋舉行之第五屆跨學科社會科學國際會議會議，並發表論文一篇。

Report on College International Conference Grant Scheme 

In the last round allocation of the International Conference Grant for 2009-2010, the College granted $36,570 to subsidise 13 staff members to attend international conferences as follows:

1) Professor Chang Song-hing of Department of Chinese Language and Literature was invited to attend and present a paper at the 11th International Conference of Min Dialect held in Fujian Province, China from 8 to 11 January 2010.

2) Professor Chang Song-hing of Department of Chinese Language and Literature was invited to attend and present a paper at the 2nd Overseas Chinese Conference on the Chinese Dialects held in Fujian Province, China from 27 February to 1 March 2010.

3) Professor Peter C K Cheung of Department of Biology was invited to attend and present a paper at the 239th American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition held in San Francisco, USA from 21 to 25 March 2010.

4) Professor Tong Yuying of Department of Sociology was invited to attend and present a paper at the Annual Meeting of Population Association of America 2010 held in Dallas, USA from 14 to 17 April 2010.

5) Professor Lin Hui of Department of Geography and Resource Management was invited to attend and present a paper at the 18th Annual GIS Research UK held in London, United Kingdom from 14 to 16 April 2010.

6) Professor Stephen H S Wong of Department of Sports Science and Physical Education was invited to attend and present a paper at the 3rd International Congress of Physical Activity and Public Health held in Toronto, Canada from 5 to 8 May 2010.

7) Professor LAM Ching-man of Department of Social Work was invited to attend and present a paper at the 2010 Hong Kong-Shanghai Conference on Positive Youth Development held in Shanghai, China from 6 to 7 May 2010.

8) Professor Wendy Y W Fung of Faculty of Science was invited to attend and present a paper at the Biology of    Genomes 2010 held in New York, USA from 11 to 15 May 2010.

9) Professor Lisa P L Low of the Nethersole School of Nursing was invited to attend and present a paper at the 7th World Conference of the International Society of Gerontechnology held in Vancouver, Canada from 27 to 30 May 2010.

10) Ms Inoue Yumi of Department of Japanese Studies was invited to attend and present a paper at the 10th Annual Conference of the Japan Second Language Association held in Gifu, Japan from 12 to 13 June 2010.

11) Professor Irene H S Chow of Department of Management was invited to attend and present a paper at the IACMR Shanghai Conference held in Shanghai, China from 16 to 20 June 2010.

12) Professor Barley Mak of Department of Curriculum and  Instruction was invited to attend and present a paper at the Cutting Edges: Creativity in Language Teaching and Teacher Training held in Canterbury, United Kingdom from 2 to 3 July 2010.

13) Professor Barley Mak of Department of Curriculum and  Instruction was invited to attend and present a paper at the International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies held in Barcelona, Spain from 5 to 7 July 2010.

14) Ms Snowy S Hon of Physical Education Unit was invited to attend and present a paper at the 27th International  Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP2010) held in Melbourne, Australia from 11 to 16 July 2010.

15) Professor Zhao Yuhong of Faculty of Law was invited to attend and would present a paper at the 5th International   Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences held in Cambridge, United Kingdom from 2 to 5 August 2010.

書院教職員聯誼會2009至2010年度歡送晚宴

書院教職員聯誼會於2010年5月28日舉行歡送晚宴，餞別即將榮休及離職之同仁。院長馮國培教授及教職員聯誼會會長麥陳淑賢教授代表致送紀念品予地理與資源管理系鄒桂昌教授及翻譯系石白睿博士，合共三十位教職員出席。

UC Staff Association 2009-2010 Farewell Dinner

The College Staff Association organised a farewell dinner on 28 May 2010 in honour of this years' retiring or departing members of the College. Professor Fung Kwok-pui, College Head, and Professor Barley Mak, Chairperson of UC Staff Association, presented souvenirs to Professor Chau Kwai-cheong, Department of Geography and Resources Management and Dr Barry Dale Steben, Department of Translation. Thirty staff members joined this event.

2009年度校長模範教學獎

本院成員教育學院夏秀禎教授及醫學院周柏珍教授獲2009年度校長模範教學獎，頒獎禮於2010年6月15日舉行。

The Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award 2009

College members, Professor Ha Sau-ching of Faculty of Education and Professor Chau Pak-chun of Faculty of Medicine won the Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award 2009. An award presentation ceremony was held on 15 June 2010.

韶關觀光——雙程高鐵三天團

由書院生活委員會、書院教職員聯誼會及書院校友會合辦之「韶關觀光——雙程高鐵三天團」已於2010年5月21日至23日順利完成，共有四十位教職員、校友及家屬參加是次活動，反應熱烈。

Shaoguan Three Day Tour (Travel by Wuhan–Guangzhou High-Speed Railway)

A three-day tour to Shaoguan was co-organised by the UC College Life Committee, Staff Association, and Alumni Association from 21 to 23 May 2010.   The tour was well-received by members, with 40 College staff, alumni and their families joining.

學術研討會贊助計劃報告

為推廣香港文學，「中西與新舊——香港文學的交會」研討會於2010年6月25日假聯合書院校園舉行。此研討會由中大中文系、中大聯合書院、中大香港文學研究中心、香港作家聯會和香港中國語文學會合辦。是次研討會反應踴躍，逾八十位學者及作家參與是次會議。研討會獲聯合書院學術研討會贊助計劃資助。

Report on College Conference Sponsorship Scheme 

To promote Hong Kong Literature, Conference on “East vs West and New vs Old: Hong Kong Literature” was held on 25 June 2010 on United College campus. This conference is co-organised by Department of Chinese Language and Literature, CUHK, United College, CUHK, Hong Kong Literature Research Centre, CUHK, Hong Kong Writers and the Chinese Language Society of Hong Kong Ltd. With the support from United College Conference Sponsorship Scheme, the conference was well attended with the participation of around 80 scholars and writers.
