健康聯合人系列——健康講座第二講


由健康促進小組及書院生活委員會合辦的健康講座系列第二講已於2011年4月28日假文怡閣舉行。講題為「糖尿病及心血管病的護理計劃」，主講嘉賓確進糖尿專科中心內分泌及糖尿科專科唐俊業醫生解釋糖尿病及心血管病的成因及糖尿病及心血管病關係，以及提供防患及護理的方法。當日有超過三十名教職員參與，參加者獲益良多。

Health Series – 2nd Health Talk


Co-organised by College Task Force on Health Promotion and College Life Committee, the second health talk was held on 28 April 2011 at the Staff Common Room. Dr Peter C Y Tong, Specialist in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, Qualigenics Diabetes Centre, spoke on Management of Diabetes and the Cardiovascular Burden. Dr Tong explained the causes of the diseases and the relationship between them. He also advised ways to prevent and nurse the illness. The talk was well received by more than 30 staff.

本院成員及其團隊之量子科技研究刊登為權威雜誌封面

由本院成員物理系劉保仁教授帶領的研究團隊，發現提高核磁共振靈敏度至單分子水平的方法，該量子科技研究，有助促進開發具超高速運算能力的量子計算機。是次研究更獲權威雜誌《自然——納米技術》刑登為4月號的封面故事。

College Member And His Team’s Quantum Science Research Makes Cover Story of An Authoritative Magazine

The Research team, led by College member, Professor Liu Renbao, Department of Physics, has developed a way to improve the sensitivity in nuclear magnetic resonance to the single-molecule level, helping to advance the development in quantum computers with exceptional computing capabilities. The research was the cover story in the April issue of an authoritative magazine, Nature Nanotechnology.
