  學生宿舍2010至2011年度住宿期終結
  本年度學生宿舍宿期將於2011年5月31日（星期二）中午12時終結，各宿生須於當日中午12時前遷出宿舍，已與舍監作出特別安排者除外。將於2011年6月1日往恒生樓入住暑宿的宿生可延遲至6月1日下午2時前退宿。宿生須於退宿時前往宿舍詢問處索取「退還宿舍按金表格」，填妥後連同過戶銀行咭或存摺印有戶口號碼之封面內頁副本，一併於交還鑰匙時交予宿舍負責人，或於2011年6月10日前交回書院學生輔導處。逾期交回表格者，按金將不予發還。
  End of 2010-2011 Hostel Residence
  The regular-term hostel residence for 2010-2011 will end at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, 31 May 2011. All residents should check out by then unless prior arrangements have been made with the wardens. Residents who will be returning for summer residence at Hang Seng Hall beginning 1 June 2011 will be permitted to check out of their hostels at 2:00 pm on 1 June 2011. For refund of hostel deposits, residents should fill in the appropriate application forms obtainable from the enquiry counters of their respective hostels and attach a copy of the bank cards or the relevant page of their bank passbooks for auto-pay purposes. These documents should be returned to their respective hostels together with the room keys. Alternatively, the said documents can be handed in to the College Dean of Students’ Office before 10 June 2011. Late applications will not be entertained.


 
  2011至2012年度學生校園培訓及服務獎勵計劃
  2011至2012年度(7/2011 - 6/2012)書院學生校園培訓及服務獎勵計劃第一輪撥款將接受申請。該計劃旨在協助學生獲得經濟奬勵及工作經驗。書院學生輔導處將於5月16日寄發申請資料予本院教職員。如有查詢，請致電2609 8657與學生輔導處陳鄧翠怡女士聯絡。截止申請日期為2011年5月31日，結果將於6月底前知會各申請人。
  Student Campus Training and Service Award Scheme for 2011-2012
  Applications are invited for the first-round allocation of the UC Student Campus Training and Service Award Scheme for 2011-2012 (7/2011 - 6/2012).The Scheme aims to provide financial award to UC students and to help them gain some working experiences. Application materials will be dispatched to College members on 16 May 2011. For further information please contact Mrs Eastre Chan of the Dean of Students' Office at 2609 8657. Completed application forms should be submitted by 31 May 2011. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by the end of June 2011.
  聯合書院2011年畢業晚宴
 
由書院2008級社「匯聯社」籌辦的2011畢業晚宴定於本年5月24日 (星期二) 晩上6時30分假旺角朗豪酒店四十二樓星願亭餐廳舉行，讓應屆畢業同學能夠在離開校園之前再次聚首一堂。晚宴餐費分別為港幣三百三十元(教職員及校友)及一百五十元(學生)。有興趣參加者可聯絡書院學生輔導處高級書院發展主任周鍾寶華女士(2609 8655) 或08級社代表張金運同學(6749 5189)或黃俊傑同學(6235 9733 )。
  2011 UC Graduation Dinner
  The 2008 Class Society of the College is going to organise a Graduation Dinner for the 2011 graduates on Tuesday, 24 May 2011 at 6:30 pm at Star Room, 42/F, Langham Place Hotel Hong Kong, MongKok.   2011-2012年度聯合書院住宿助學金申請
 

本計劃旨在提供校內住宿資助予有經濟困難的聯合書院同學，鼓勵同學積極參與校園書院活動，並爭取學習時間，以提升本科學業及非形式教育的成績。

計劃公開予所有聯合書院在學同學申請。2011-2012年度的助學金每個金額為一千三百元正，申請人全年上、下學期最多可獲資助兩個獎額($1,300 x 2= $2,600)。同學必須獲分配校內宿舍(包括教學醫院宿舍)的宿位方可取得此住宿助學金。
 
申請日期為 2011年5月11日至5月28日，有興趣申請的同學請填妥申請表請並交回書院學生輔導處。本計劃由書院輔導長主持之工作小組審批。評審主要標準包括：(一) 申請人之經濟狀況 ﹔(二) 申請人之學業成績(新生不須提供) ﹔及 (三) 申請人在2011-2012年度欲參與課外活動及/或提升本科學業成績的計劃。


　
  UC Hostel Residence Grant Application 2011-2012
  The Grant aimed to enable needy students to have a residential College life, for advancement in academic performance and for better participation in various activities on campus.
 
All United College students are welcomed to apply for this Scheme. The amount of each grant for 2011-2012 is HK$1,300. For every successful applicant, a maximum of two grants may be allocated for the 1st Term and 2nd Term of the academic year. (i.e. HK$1,300 x 2 = HK$2,600). Only applicants being provided a hostel place on the University Campus (including hostels of the teaching hospital) would be eligible to receive hostel grants.
 
Application is open from 11 May 2011 to 28 May 2011. Completed application forms should be submitted to the Dean of Students’ Office of the College. The selection panel is chaired by the Dean of Students. The main selection criteria are: (1) Financial Situation of Applicants; (2) Academic Performance of Applicants (Not applicable for new students); and (3) The Applicants’ plan in participation in extra-curricular activities and in enhancing their academic performance.
  2011-2012年度聯合書院校外住宿助學金
  校外住宿助學金旨在提供校外住宿資助予有經濟困難，而又未能成功申請在校內住宿的聯合書院同學，在港鐵東鐵沿綫租住較現行家庭住址更接近大學校園的地方，以鼓勵同學積極參與校園書院活動，並爭取學習時間，以提升學業成績。此計劃並不影響同學申請、輪候或上訴校內宿舍機會。

本計劃只接受2011-2012年度聯合書院校內住宿申請候補名單上的同學提出申請，即2011-2012年度內未能成功申請在校內住宿的聯合同學。

 2011-2012年度的助學金每個金額為一千三百元正，申請同學全年上、下學期最多可獲資助兩個獎額。($1,300 x 2 = $2,600)

書院全年接受申請。評審主要標準包括：（一） 申請同學之經濟狀況及（二） 申請同學之學業成績。

  UC Off-campus Residence Grant 2011-2012
  This Grant Scheme provides financial support to needy students who have not been assigned a hostel place on the University campus, to rent a residential place off-campus temporarily, along the Mass Transit Railway System (East Rail Line). The rented place should be closer to the University when compared with the family residence, to facilitate the applicant to participate in College life, for advancement in academic performance and for better participation in various activities on campus.

United College students on the waiting list of hostel residence application of 2011-2012 are welcome to apply.(i.e. those who have not been assigned a residential place on the University campus.) This application will not affect the chance of waiting or appealing for a hostel place.

The amount of each grant for 2011-2012 is HK$1,300. For each applicant, a maximum of two grants may be allocated for the 1st Term and 2nd Term of the academic year.(i.e. HK$1,300 x 2 = HK$2,600)

Application is open on a year-round basis. The main considerations for awarding the Grant are:(1) Financial Situation of Applicants and (2) Academic Performance of Applicants

  2010-2011年度GEUC 4011【專題討論】書券獎勵計劃
  書院為獎勵本學年在GEUC 4011【專題討論】課程中表現優異的同學，將贈送壹佰圓書券予六十九位獲導師提名的學生，以作獎勵。請獲獎同學於2011年4月15日至5月23日於辦公時間內到聯合書院曾肇添樓二樓聯合書院學生輔導處領取書券。上述獎勵由書院基金會撥款資助，書院謹此鳴謝。
  Book Coupon Award Scheme of GEUC4011 Senior Seminar 2010-2011
  To encourage students with excellent performance in the College general education course, GEUC4011 Senior Seminar this year, the College has decided to give out $100 worth of book coupon to those 69 students nominated by their course supervisors. The awardees can collect their coupons during office hours from 15 April to 23 May 2011 at the Dean of Students' Office, Tsang Shiu Tim Building. The College would like to thank the College Endowment Fund Committee in sponsoring this award scheme.
  中國文化節——嘉年華
香港中文大學內地本科生聯合會於2011年3月3日假聯合書院湯草舉行中國文化節嘉年華，除了舞獅表演外，各個省份和地區的同學準備合共十一個攤位展出及發售各自的家鄉特產，並以遊戲及表演形式介紹家鄉文化。

活動邀請得多位嘉賓為中國文化節嘉年華主持開幕式，包括香港中文大學副校長鄭振耀教授、香港中文大學內地本科生聯會資深顧問兼和聲書院榮譽顧問吳寧女士、崇基學院院長梁元生教授及院務主任郭譚潔瑩女士、香港中文大學內地本科生聯會資深顧問兼地理與資源管理學系教授林琿教授、新亞書院項目統籌員張君恒先生、香港中文大學學生事務處來港生組主任盧嘉兒女士、聯合書院院長馮國培教授及院務主任李雷寶玲女士。是次活動得到聯合書院贊助，並獲大學及書院員生一致好評，出席人數逾七百五十人。
  Chinese Festival – Carnival
  The Chinese Festival Carnival organised by Mainland Undergraduate Association of CUHK was held at the lawn in front of the Adam Schall Residence on 3 March 2011. Apart from lion dance, more than eleven stalls were set up to sell and promote their specialties of different provinces and regions in China. Games and performances were also provided to show the cultures of different provinces and regions.

The opening ceremony of the Chinese Festival Carnival was conducted by Professor Jack C Y Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, Ms Julia L Woo, Honorary Advisor of Lee Woo Sing College and Senior Advisor of Mainland Undergraduate Association of CUHK, Professor Leung Yuan-sang, Head of Chung Chi College, Mrs Angeline Kwok, College Secretary of Chung Chi College, Professor Lin Hui, Department of Geography and Resource Management and Senior Advisor of Mainland Undergraduate Association of CUHK, Mr Kelvin Q H Cheung, Project Co-coordinator of New Asia College, Ms Wendy K Y Lou, Student Affairs Officer of Incoming Students Section, Office of Student Affairs, CUHK, Professor Fung Kwok-pui, Head of United College and Mrs Christina Li, College Secretary of United College. The Carnival, sponsored by United College, was well received by staff and students of the University and College, with an attendance record of over 750.
  聯合書院粵語辯論隊奪2011年五角辯論賽亞軍
  大學五角辯論比賽的總決賽於2011年4月12日舉行，對賽隊伍為正方的聯合書院粵語辯論隊及反方的新亞書院辯論隊。比賽題目以「人大釋法有助落實一國兩制」為題，雙方唇槍舌劍、戰況激烈，最後聯合書院粵語辯論隊取得亞軍席位。

  UC Cantonese Debate Team Won First Runner-up in the Pentagonal Debate Competition 2011
  The University’s Pentagonal Debate Competition final match was held on 12 April 2011. United College Cantonese Debate Team (pro) debated with New Asia College Cantonese Debate Team (against) on the motion Interpretation of the Basic Law facilitates the implementation of 'One Country, Two Systems'. After a competitive debate, the United College Cantonese Debate Team was awarded the First runner-up.

  聯合書院儲物箱
  由於學期即將完結，畢業班同學須盡快清理儲物箱內所有物件，並在2011年5月20日前於辦公時間內，前往書院學生輔導處辦理交還儲物箱鎖匙及領回按金的手續。大學會計部將安排按金轉帳至各同學之銀行戶口。逾期仍不辦理者，本院將清理箱內物件及沒收按金。查詢請致電2609 7573與書院學生輔導處張富恆先生聯絡。
  Lockers at United College
 
All final-year students holding lockers at United College are required to return the locker keys and complete the deposit refund process at the Dean of Students' Office during office hours on or before 20 May 2011. Locker deposits will be refunded to the bank accounts by the Bursary in due course. Failure on returning the locker key before deadline will result in deposit forfeiture. Articles inside the locker will also be removed. For enquiries, please contact Mr Henry F H Cheung of the College Dean of Students' Office at 2609 7573.
  優先錄取計劃書院輔導日
  　
聯合書院與其他書院於2011年4月30日為2011至2012年度新一批透過「優先錄取計劃」入讀香港中文大學的新生舉行書院輔導日。輔導日活動包括書院簡介會、資料展覽、校友和在校同學分享及校園參觀等，逾一百四十名新生及家長出席。
  Orientation Day for Students under Early Admission Scheme (EAS)
  In collaboration with the other sister colleges, United College organised an orientation day for the new cohort of students admitted under the Early Admission Scheme on 30 April 2011. Orientation activities included introduction of United College, sharing by alumni and current students, College information display and campus tour. Over 140 students under Early Admission Scheme and their parents attended.
  書院聚會——就業發展講座
  2011年4月15日上午，聯合書院假李兆基樓一樓七號講堂舉行「就業發展講座」。書院蒙　本院校友香港電影資料館館長林覺聲先生(85/政政)擔任演講嘉賓，以「藝術行政與我」為題，為三百多位聯合同學帶來寶貴的工作經驗分享。問答環節中，台下同學反應熱烈。
  College Assembly– Career Development Talk
  A Career Development Talk was held by United College in the morning of 15 April 2011, at Lecture Theatre 7 of Lee Shau Kee Building. The College was honored to have College alumnus, Mr Richie K S Lam, Head of Hong Kong Film Archive (85/GPA), to be the guest speaker. With the topic Arts Administration and I, Mr Lam shared his valuable working experience with over three hundred United College students. The talk was well received by the audience.
  書院學生會「香音港樂」音樂會
  書院學生會於2011年4月12日在校園草地舉行「香音港樂」音樂會，以推動本地原創音樂並為日本地震籌款。


　
  Music Concert Organised by the College Student Union
  The College Student Union organised a concert to promote local and original music at the campus lawn on 12 April 2011, the activity also helped to raise fund for the Japan earthquake victims.

四所書院學生會幹事會，包括崇基、聯合、逸夫及善衡書院在2011年4月7日於王統元堂聯合舉行「書院學生會聯合就職典禮」，出席嘉賓包括校長沈祖堯教授、崇基學院院長梁元生教授、聯合書院院長馮國培教授、逸夫書院院長陳志輝教授及善衡書院輔導長黃錦波教授。

  Joint Inauguration Ceremony for College Student Union Executive Committees
 
The Joint Inauguration Ceremony for College Student Union Executive Committees, namely, Chung Chi, United, Shaw and S H Ho Colleges, was held at T Y Wong Hall on 7 April 2011. Honorable guests included Professor Joseph J Y Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University, Professor Leung Yuen-sang, Head of Chung Chi College, Professor Fung Kwok-pui, Head of United College, Professor Andrew C F Chan, Head of Shaw College and Professor Wong Kam-po, Dean of Students of S H Ho College.

  聯合書院環保學會退宿回收大行動
 
本年度聯合書院環保學會將聯同救世軍在宿生退宿期間進行回收大行動作慈善用途，以減低對環境造成的污染。詳情如下：

  United College Environmental Protection Society – Recycling Programme for Residents Moving out of the Hostels
 
United College Environmental Protection Society (UCEPS) and Salvation Army will co-organise a charity recycling programme for residents moving out of the hostels.

Items Collected: clothings, stationery, books (except text
books and magazines), small domestic
electronic appliances, domestic utensils, etc.

All residents are encouraged to support this environmental friendly initiative.
  聯合書院社會服務活動——支持建築學院暑期計劃「四川成都鞍子河大熊貓自然保護區工作站現場建造」

  United College Social Service Activity – Supporting Summer Programme of School of Architecture “Building Eco-Base FOR Nature Reserve Anzihe Nature Rerserve, Chengdu, Sichuan”
 
The College promotes social service and is supporting the re-building project of Sichuan after the earthquake. United College students from the School of Architecture as well as from other academic departments, will be sponsored by the College, to participate in the project of “Building Eco-Base For Nature Reserve Anzihe Nature Reserve, Chengdu, Sichuan” organised by Professor Zhu Jingxiang of the School of Architecture, for volunteer work. This activity is supported by the College’s “Dr Thomas Chen Si Yuan Social Service Programme”.
