教職員太極及健身氣功班(陳式太極及八段錦氣功)


為提倡健康生活及提高本院教職員重視健康的意識，書院健康促進小組與書院生活委員會及書院教職員聯誼會於2011年3月15日至6月21日再次合辦太極班。八名參加者一同學習陳式太極及八段錦的基礎，促進身體健康，獲益良多。

Staff Taichi and Qigong Course (Chen-style Taichi and Baduanjin)

In order to promote physical activity and raise the health awareness of College staff members, the Task Force has co-organised a Taichi course again with the College Life Committee and the United College Staff Association from 15 March to 21June 2011. Eight participants have learned the basic techniques of Chen-style Taichi as well as Baduanjin Qigong to enhance their health.

訪問研究學人計劃

訪問研究學人中國社會科學院語言研究所李藍教授於2011年5月1日至7月31日期間蒞院訪問，與本院中國語言及文學系張雙慶教授進行學術研究。

訪問研究學人東北師範大學就業指導服務中心王占仁教授於2011年7月4日至2012年7月3日期間蒞院訪問，與本院創業研究中心區玉輝教授進行學術研究。

Resident Fellow Scheme

Professor Li Lan, the Institute of Linguistics, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, visited the College as resident fellow from 1 May to 31 July 2011 and conducted research with Professor Chang Song-hing, Department of Chinese Language and Literature.

Professor Wang Zhanren, Employment Centre, the Northeast Normal University visited the College as resident fellow from 4 July 2011 to 3 July 2012 and conducted research with Professor Kevin Y F Au, Center for Entrepreneurship.


國際會議津貼計劃報告

在2010至2011年書院國際會議津貼計劃最後一輪撥款中，書院資助港幣二萬八千五百二十元予十五位聯合教職員出席國際學術會議，詳情如下:

1. 翻譯系鄭善群教授於2010年9月16至18日，出席在俄羅斯莫斯科舉行之概念史：概念、隱喻和論說會議，並發表論文。

2. 日本研究學系林大偉博士於2011年1月28至29日，出席在日本別府市舉行之2011 環境管理與科技創新以及可持續發展科學冬季國際討論會，並發表論文。

3. 歷史系蕭錦華博士於2011年3月30日至4月3日，出席在美國夏威夷舉行之亞洲研究學會、國際亞洲學者會議舉辦聯合會議，並發表論文。

4. 社會學系同鈺瑩教授於2011年3月31日至4月2日，出席在美國華盛頓舉行之美國人口學年會2011會議，並發表論文。

5. 新雅中國語文研習所劉震霞女士於2011年5月19至21日，出席在美美國明尼亞波里斯舉行之第七屆語文教師培訓國際會議，並發表論文。

6. 新雅中國語文研習所陳智樑先生於2011年5月19至21日，出席在美國明尼亞波里斯舉行之第七屆語文教師培訓國際會議，並發表論文。

7. 哲學系Professor Christopher Robert Lowry於2011年5月21至22日，出席在中國大連舉行之2nd International Conference: Applied Ethics and Applied Philosophy in East Asia會議，並發表論文。

8. 體育運動科學系王香生教授於2011年5月31日至6月4日，出席在美國丹佛市舉行之美國運動醫學會第五十八屆年會會議，並發表論文。

9. 地理與資源管理學系沈建法教授於2011年6月14至17日，出席在瑞典于默真舉行之第六屆人口地理國際會議，並發表論文。

10. 課程與教學學系麥陳淑賢教授於2011年6月16至17日，出席在義大利佛羅倫斯舉行之「教育之遠景」國際會議，並發表論文。

11. 體育運動科學系夏秀禎教授於2011年6月22至25日，出席在愛爾蘭利姆裡克市舉行之2011年度高等體育教育國際協會會議，並發表論文。

12. 翻譯系利幗勤博士於2011年6月29日至7月1 日，出席在英國倫敦舉行之第四屆視聽媒體翻譯國際會議，並發表論文。

13.那打素護理學院羅佩麗教授於2011年7月5至7日，出席在英國普利茅斯舉行之英國老年學協會第四十屆周年大會會議，並發表論文。

14.文化及宗教研究系Professor Katrien Jacobs於2011年7月23至24日，出席在日本神戶舉行之文化颱風會議，並發表論文。

15.地理與資源管理學系林健枝教授於2011年7月24至28日，出席在英國倫敦舉行之第十屆國際雜訊與人類健康會議，並發表論文。

Report on College International Conference Grant Scheme

In the last round allocation of the International Conference Grant for 2010-2011, the College granted HK$28,520 to subsidise fifteen staff members to attend international
conferences as follows:

1. Professor Cheng Sinkwan of Department of Translation was invited to attend and present a paper at the Conceptual History: Concepts, Metaphors and Discourses held in Moscow, Russia from 16 to 18 September 2010.

2. Professor Lim Tai-wei of Department of Japanese Studies was invited to attend and present a paper at the 2011 International Winter Conference on Environmental Innovations and Sustainability held in Beppu, Japan from 28 to 29 January 2011.

3. Dr Siu Kam-wah of Department of History was invited to attend and present a paper at the Joint Conference of the Association for Asia Studies & International Convention of Asia Scholars held in Hawaii, USA from 30 March to 3 April 2011.

4. Professor Tong Yuying of Department of Sociology was invited to attend and present a paper at the Population Association of America 2011 Annual Meeting held in Washington, DC, USA from 31 March to 2 April 2011.

5. Mr Chan Chi-leung of New Asia-Yale-in-China Language Centre was invited to attend and present a paper at the 7th International Conference on Language Teacher Education held in Minneapolis, USA from 19 to 21 May 2011.

6. Ms Liu Zhenxia of New Asia-Yale-in-China Language Centre was invited to attend and present a paper at the 7 th International Conference on Language Teacher Education held in Minneapolis, USA from 19 to 21 May 2011.

7. Professor Christopher Robert Lowry of Department of Philosophy was invited to attend and present a paper at the 2nd International Conference: Applied Ethics and Applied Philosophy in East Asia held in Dalian, China from 21 to 22 May 2011.

8. Professor Stephen H S Wong of Department of Sports Science and Physical Education was invited to attend and present a paper at the American College of Sports Medicine 58th Annual Meeting held in Denver, USA from 31 May to 4 June 2011.

9. Professor Shen Jianfa of Department of Geography and Resource Management was invited to attend and present a paper at the 6th International Conference on Population Geographies held in Umea, Sweden from 14 to 17 June 2011.

10. Professor Barley Mak of Department of Curriculum and Instruction was invited to attend and present a paper at the Future of Education Conference held in Florence, Italy from 16 to 17 June 2011.

11. Professor Amy S C Ha of Department of Sports Science and Physical Education was invited to attend and present a paper at the AIESEP 2011 – Moving People, Moving Forward held in Limerick, Ireland from 22 to 25 June 2011.

12.Dr Gloria K K Lee of Department of Translation was invited to attend and present a paper at the 4th international Conference: Media for all Audiovisual Translation – Taking Stock held in London, United Kingdom from 29 June to 1 July 2011.

13. Professor Lisa P L Low of The Nethersole School of Nursing was invited to attend and present a paper at the British Society of Gerontology 40th Annual Conference held in Plymouth, England from 5 to 7 July 2011.

14. Professor Katrien Jacobs of Department of Cultural and Religious Studies was invited to attend and present a paper at the Cultural Typhoon 2011 held in Kobe, Japan from 23 to 24 July 2011.

15. Professor Lam Kin-che of Department of Geography and Resource Management was invited to attend and present a paper at the 10th International Congress of Noise as a Public Health Problem (ICBEN) held in London, United Kingdom from 24 to 28 July 2011.
