2012-2013年度到訪傑出學人計劃接受報名 |
|
由書院基金會贊助的「到訪傑出學人」計劃每年邀請國際知名學者到訪書院，進行為期約兩周的學術交流活動。贊助項目包括到訪傑出學人的商務客位來回機票、食宿費及酬金港幣兩萬元。至於訪問活動則由「到訪傑出學人」委員會及提名人共同商訂，一般包括兩個公開講座及與書院師生的學術交流活動等。
2012至2013年度「到訪傑出學人」計劃現正公開接受各學系同人提名。計劃的網址為

Call for Nominations for
the 2012-2013 Distinguished Visiting Scholar |
|
Nominations are now invited
from academic staff of United College for the
2012-2013 Distinguished Visiting Scholar (DVS).
Nominees should be internationally renowned
scholars in any field of study. DVS Scheme is
sponsored by the College's Endowment Fund and
offers a $20,000 honorarium for the invited
scholar plus round-trip business class airfares
and accommodation for the scholar. Detailed
programme for the visit will be designed by the
DVS Committee in consultation with the
nominator. Invited scholar is expected to stay
in Hong Kong for about two weeks, during which
delivering two public lectures and taking part
in exchange activities with staff and students
of the College.
Each nomination, together with the nominee's
full curricula vitae, should be endorsed by the
chairpersons of the respective departments and
addressed to Mr George W Y Lam, Secretary of the
DVS Committee on or before 31 October 2011.

第三屆簡帛醫藥文獻國際會議 |
「第三屆簡帛醫藥文獻國際會議」已於2011年7月15及16日假中大聯合書院鄭棟材樓C1講室圓滿結束。是次會議由聯合書院、中醫中藥研究所、中國歷史研究中心及中醫學院聯合主辦，並由恒生管理學院及台中中國醫藥大學協辦。多位來自中國內地、台灣、香港及德國等地的著名學者均出席參加，就最新的研究成果作專題報告及學術討論。參與是次會議之人數合共一百一十五人。

The 3rd International
Conference on the Analysis of Texts from Ancient
Bamboo and Silk Manuscripts on Chinese Medicine
was successfully held on 15-16 July 2011 at
UCC1, T C Cheng Building of United College,
CUHK. This international conference was
organised by the United College, Institute of
Chinese Medicine, Centre for Chinese History of
History Department and School of Chinese
Medicine, and co-organised by the University of
Chinese Medicine in Taichung of Taiwan and Hang
Seng Management College of Hong Kong. Scholars
from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and
Germany presented and discussed the latest
research results at the conference. A total of
one hundred and fifteen participants attended
the event.
