兼任

本院成員中國語言及文學系鄧思穎教授獲委任為中國文化研究所吳多泰中國語文研究中心副主任，由2011年8月1日起生效。

本院成員教育行政與政策學系何瑞珠教授獲委任為香港教育研究所副所長，由2011年8月1日生效。

Concurrent Appointments
College member, Professor Tang Sze-wing, Department of Chinese Language and Literature, has been appointed as Associate Director, T T Ng Chinese Language Research Centre, Institute of Chinese Studies, with effect from 1 August 2011.

College member, Professor Ho Sui-chu, Department of Educational Administration and Policy, was appointed as Associate Director, Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research, with effect from 1 August 2011.

本院成員、校友兼社會工作學系副教授林靜雯教授獲委任為婦女事務委員會成員，由2011年9月15日生效。
Community Service

College member and alumna, Professor Lam Ching-man, Associate Professor of Department of Social Work, has been appointed as a member of the Women's Commission, with effect from 15 September 2011.

2012至2013年度到訪傑出學人計劃接受報名

由書院基金會贊助的「到訪傑出學人」計劃每年邀請國際知名學者到訪書院，進行為期約兩周的學術交流活動。贊助項目包括到訪傑出學人的商務客位來回機票、食宿費及酬金港幣兩萬元。至於訪問活動則由「到訪傑出學人」委員會及提名人共同商訂，一般包括兩個公開講座及與書院師生的學術交流活動等。

2012至2013年度「到訪傑出學人」計劃現正公開接受各學系同仁提名。計劃的網址為http://www2.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/eng/dvs，提名人須填妥報名表格，連同被提名學人的履歷交所屬系主任加簽，於2011年10月31日或以前送達「到訪傑出學人」委員會秘書林偉源先生。查詢或索取提名表格請電3943 7455與書院輔導處林偉源先生或楊頌妍女士聯絡。

Call for Nominations for the 2012-2013 Distinguished Visiting Scholar


Nominations are now invited from academic staff of United College for the 2012-2013 Distinguished Visiting Scholar (DVS). Nominees should be internationally renowned scholars in any field of study. DVS Scheme is sponsored by the College's Endowment Fund and offers a $20,000 honorarium for the invited scholar plus round-trip business class air-tickets and accommodation for the scholar. Detailed programme for the visit will be designed by the DVS Committee in consultation with the nominator. Invited scholar is expected to stay in Hong Kong for about two weeks, during which delivering two public lectures and taking part in exchange activities with staff and students of the College.

Each nomination, together with the nominee's full curricula vitae, should be endorsed by the chairperson of the respective department and addressed to Mr George W Y Lam, Secretary of the DVS Committee on or before 31 October 2011. 「師生交流」津貼

師生交流津貼是為加強聯合書院全職教員及行政人員與書院學生在課餘時間的溝通和交流而設，每名成員的全年基本津貼額為港幣一千元，而GEUC4011通識科老師、院系聯絡人、舍監、體育部老師、交流團領隊等會有額外的津貼金額。每次聚餐之報銷金額以每名聯合師生港幣一百元為限。津貼申請手續全年均可辦理。

Social Fund

The Social Fund was set up with the aim of fostering personal interaction and strengthening contacts among teachers and students of United College beyond the classroom. As such, it covers the expenses incurred by teaching and administrative staff of United College while engaged in consultation, tutorial and such other legitimate activities in relation to their teaching and mentoring duties. The yearly budget is $1,000 per staff member and the maximum claim is $100 per person per occasion. Additional funds have been allocated to supervisors of GEUC4011, College Coordinators, Wardens, PE Teachers as well as leaders of study tours. Application is open year round.

惠港醫療合作培訓開班典禮

本院資深書院導師方玉輝醫生於2011年9月10日出席由惠州市與香港合辦的醫療合作培訓班開班典禮並簽署協議。儀式後方醫生向參加培訓的醫師演講。
Opening Ceremony of the Medical Training Programme co-organised by Huizhou City and Hong Kong

A medical training programme, co-organised by Huizhou City and Hong Kong, was held on 10 September 2011. Dr Ben Y F Fong, Senior College Tutor, signed an agreement with the representative from Huizhou City at the opening ceremony and delivered a talk to medical staff.
