本院校友及成員的研究計劃獲撥款

本院校友社會工作學系黃洪教授的研究計劃最近獲香港政府的策略性公共政策研究的撥款。

本院成員生命科學學院曾淑瑩教授及化學系謝作偉教授的研究計劃最近獲德國與香港聯合研究計劃的撥款。

本院成員外科學系劉潤皇教授的研究計劃最近獲余兆麒醫療基金的撥款。
College Alumnus and Members Received Research Grants


College alumnus, Professor Wong Hung, Department of Social Work, recently received funding from RGC Strategic Public Policy Research from HKSAR Government for his research project.

College members, Professor Tsang Suk-ying, School of Life Sciences, and Professor Xie Zuowei, Department of Chemistry, recently received grants from Germany/Hong Kong Joint Research Scheme for their research projects.

College member, Professor Lau Yun-wong, Department of Surgery, recently received S K Yee Medical Foundation-Donations and Grants for 2011 for his research project.
教職員太極及健身氣功班(陳式太極及八段錦氣功)

為提倡健康生活及提高本院教職員重視健康的意識，書院健康促進小組與書院生活委員會及書院教職員聯誼會於2011年10月11日至2012年1月17日再次合辦太極班。六名參加者一同學習陳式太極及八段錦的基礎，促進身體健康，獲益良多。

Staff Taichi and Qigong Course (Chen-style Taichi and Baduanjin)


In order to promote physical activity and raise the health awareness of College staff members, the Task Force has co-organised a Taichi course again with the College Life Committee and the United College Staff Association from 11 October 2011 to 17 January 2012. Six participants have learned the basic techniques of Chen-style Taichi as well as Baduanjin Qigong to enhance their health.

社會服務


本院成員公共衞生及基層醫療學院余德新教授獲勞工及福利局局長再度委任為肺塵埃沉著病補償基金委員會委員，任期兩年，由2012年1月1日起生效；並獲委任為廣東省工傷康復中心工傷預防首席專家，任期五年，由2011年11月18日起生效。

College member, Professor Ignatius T S Yu, School of Public Health and Primary Care, has been re-appointed by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare as member of the Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board for two years from 1 January 2012, and appointed as Chief Expert in Work Injury Prevention of Guangdong Provincial Work Injury Rehabilitation Centre for five years from 18 November 2011.

2)新春團拜茶聚

壬辰年新春團拜茶聚已於2012年2月1日大年初十假聯合書院文怡閣舉行，逾八十位會員參加，同賀新春。節目包括攤位遊戲、聯合國術會醒獅表演、猜燈迷及抽獎。

3)春遊南香江(大潭水塘)
日期：2012年3月3日(星期六）
時間：下午1時30分至5時30分
行程：於大學港鐵站廣場登車前往鰂魚涌，步行上栢架山登大風坳，南下漫遊大潭水塘，經陽明山莊到黃泥涌峽道作終點 (步行路程約3小時)
*乘專車到香港仔畫坊享用海鮮晚餐（隨意自費參加）

2) Lunar New Year Tea Gathering

A Lunar New Year Tea Gathering was held on 1 February 2012 at the United College Staff Common Room, with over 80 Members joining the celebration. Programmes included booth games, lion dance by the College China Martial Arts Society, Chinese lantern puzzles and lucky draw.

3) Spring Tour to HK South (Tai Tam Reservoir)

Date：3 March 2012 (Saturday)
Time：1:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Itinerary：Depart from University Station Plaza to Quarry Bay, walk up Mount Parker and reach Quarry Gap, then head south down to Tai Tam Reservoir, pass by Parkview and end the walk at Wong Lai Chung Gap Road. (around 3 hours)
*Coach arranged for sea food dinner at Aberdeen (Optional Dutch treat activity)

翻譯系學系鄭善群教授於2011年9月30日至10月1 日出席在美國華盛頓舉行之從全球角度看人權會議及於2011年10月21日至23日出席在美國普林斯頓大學舉行之第四十屆大西洋沿岸中部地區/亞洲研究協會會議，並發表論文兩篇。

生命科學學院曾淑瑩教授於2011年8月15 至18日出席在中國銀川舉行之第八屆海峽兩岸心血管科學研討會會議，並發表論文一篇。

藥劑學院李詠恩教授於2011年11月5日至8日出席在西班牙馬德里舉行之第十四屆國際藥物經濟學和成效研究學會歐州學術年會會議，並發表論文一篇。

Report on College International Conference Grant Scheme

In the second round allocation of the International Conference Grant for 2011-2012, the College granted HK$21,770 to subsidise eleven staff members to attend international conferences as follows:

Professor Cheng Sin-kwan of Department of Translation was invited to attend and present papers at the Human Rights in Global Perspectives Conference from 30 September to 1 October 2011 in Washington, USA and 40th Annual Mid-Atlantic Region / Association for Asian Studies Conference from 21 to 23 October 2011 in New Jersey, USA.

Professor Tsang Suk-ying of School of Life Sciences was invited to attend and present a paper at the 8th Scientific Conference on Cardiovascular Sciences Across the Strait held in Yinchuan, China from 15 to 18 August 2011.

Professor Vivian W Y Lee of School of Pharmacy was invited to attend and present a paper at the 14th ISPOR European Congress held in Madrid, Spain from 5 to 8 November 2011.

Dr Chan Yin-ha of Independent Learning Centre was invited to attend and present a paper at the 10th European Conference on e-Learning held in Brighton, United Kingdom from 10 to 11 November 2011.

Dr Felix L Y Chao of Independent Learning Centre was invited to attend and present a paper at the 10th European Conference on e-Learning held in Brighton, United Kingdom from 10 to 11 November 2011.
