The Shum Choi Sang United College Archives

A Brief Intrduction

The Opening Ceremony of The Shum Choi Sang United College Archives was officiated by the donor, Chairman of the College Board of Trustees, Mr. Shum Choi Sang and Mrs. Shum on October 22, 1999, the 43dCollege Anniversary Day. The Archives is located at the ground floor of T. C. Cheng Building of United College, and the opening hours are from 9:30am to 4:30pm for Mondays to Saturdays. All are welcome to visit the Archives.

There are over 190 items of exhibits in the Archives, including documents, letters, bulletins, photographs, newspaper cuttings, prizes and souvenirs. Apart from exhibition, the following activities are available:

(1) Watching a video tape about the College

(2) Searching on the computer over 12,000 graduates of the College (from 1956 to present), and visiting the home page of the College through the computer.

    The collection of items for exhibition is a continuous process. New donations or loaning of items to the Archives are always welcome. For inquiries, please phone the Dean of Students' Office at 2609 7573.
