Refresher First Aid Course and Examination

 

        The University Health Service in conjunction with the University Laboratory Safety Office have been organising first-aid classes for staff for the last twelve years.  The successful participants have been awarded with a First Aid Certificate which is valid for 3 years as a qualified first-aider.  The University Health Service is organizing a refresher course in July this year for those first-aiders whose certificate will be or have been expired recently.  If you have staff who meets the above issue, please advise them to attend the refresher course. This course is jointly organized with Hong Kong St. John Ambulance. Arrangement has been made for participants either holding the first-aid certificate issued by Hong Kong St. John Ambulance or Hong Kong Red Cross can join this course.

 

        The tuition time including examination is 2 days.  The details are:

 

        Date                 :       20/7/2007 (Friday)

 

        Time                 :       9 am to 5:30 pm

 

        Examination      :       3/8/2007  2 pm – 5 pm

 

        The course will be held at 1/F, Health Education Room of the University Health Centre.  The language for instruction is Cantonese.  There will be no charges for participants (including course fee, books and course materials).

 

        Would department heads or safety co-ordinators endorse the attached application form to be sent to Ms Margaret Chow, Safety Office before 27 June 2007. We preserve the right on the final selection of the participants. A notified slip will be sent to the applicant before the course.
