The Chinese University of Hong Kong has, since its inception, devoted itself to the modernization and promulgation of Chinese culture through studies in the humanities and social sciences. Visionary Chinese scholars were among the University's founders and teachers. Today, building on this invaluable legacy of scholarship, CUHK has evolved into an institution with roots in Chinese culture and eye on the world.
