Welcome to the CUHK website, the virtual gateway to The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a research-based, comprehensive university with seven faculties - Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Medicine, Science and Social Science - and a School of Law. The University was established over 40 years ago with a mission to 'combine tradition with modernity; and to bring together China and the West'. We distinguish ourselves among local universities by virtue of our rich Chinese cultural heritage, a bilingual and bicultural tradition, and a unique collegiate system. Our faculty and students hail from the world over, and we maintain close ties with important seats of learning both in Mainland China and overseas.
