Meeting & Activity Venues

The University has a wide assortment of indoor and outdoor venues for hire by CUHK staff / students and units to hold meetings, classes, as well as social, extracurricular and leisure activities.

To promote and enrich cultural life on campus, a wide variety of venues are available for holding cultural activities and exhibitions.

Classrooms and Lecture Theatres
 

Classes are held in different venues on campus, from rooms accommodating small group discussions for 20 to lecture theatres accommodating over a thousand. The largest venue is Sir Run Run Shaw Hall with seating for 1,500. It is used for college assemblies and performances. The Registration and Examinations Section of the Office of Registry Services is responsible for hiring out classrooms and lecture theatres.

Venues accommodating 200 include Shaw College Lecture Theatre (495), Lecture Theatre, William M.W. Mong Engineering Building (241), Lecture Theatre 1, Lady Shaw Building (257), Lecture Theatre 1, Mong Man Wai Building (210), Lecture Theatre 1, Science Centre (214), T.Y. Wong Hall, Ho Sin-Hang Engineering Building (272) , Lecture Theatre 1, Esther Lee Building (244) , B6, Ho Tim Building (249), Li Koon Chun Hall, Sino Building (229).
