The Faculty admitted the first cohort of medical students in 1981. It serves the community through quality education, caring practice and the advancement of health sciences. We ground our students in all aspects of health care science by means of 4 Bachelor's and various postgraduate programmes offered by 19 teaching departments / schools / unit. To equip students with the skills and attitude required of doctors in the 21st century, our MB ChB Programme began adopting a systembased integrated curriculum in 2001, which stresses early clinical exposure and small-group teaching. We also provide our medical, nursing and pharmacy students with hands-on clinical teaching at our teaching hospital, the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin.
