Project Objectives

The primary objective of the project was to provide the students with an up to date customized digital learning system which allows them to log in and access the relevant course content for their class. For the teachers, the implementation of this project permits them to utilize their recourses to pick and choose exactly what content to include or exclude from their course.

Description of process, outcomes or deliverable

The main deliverables of this project included the production of 8-10 video clips, each of about 15 minutes in duration, detailing the procedures involved in various laboratory experiments and course materials relating to sport and exercise science.

A thorough evaluation process included student surveys and focus-group interviews on the impact and outcomes of the eLearning upgrade. The project’s impact was examined to measure the extent which the project carries forward innovative, cutting edge developments in teaching and learning; and the breadth and sustainability of the project’s impact on teaching and learning activities.

Dissemination, diffusion and impact

Students can log on to the CUHK portal in order to access the specialized online material and the video clips can be viewed on-demand prior to attending the classroom or laboratory practical sessions. Thus, the students will have the best possible advantage leading into the class and also this allows for a more efficient and resourceful use of laboratory time for both the students and the teachers.
