Project Objectives

Through various motivational activities beyond the classroom, this project aims to establish a literarily enriched environment:
  • to foster extensive and proactive reading and writing habit among students
  • to increase students’ language proficiency and appreciation of liberal arts
  • Key deliverables expected and timelines for completion

  • Literarily enriched environment:
    • A total of 12 locations for writing poems be established by the end of 2013
  • Interactive website on reading and writing:
    • Official website will be launched in June 2013 for interactive sharing of reading and writing among University members
  • Unique workshops/seminars:
    • Cross-genre/cross-media workshops and seminars will be held in 2013-2014
  • Cultural performance:
    • “A Recital of Hong Kong Literary Works and Choral Music”:
      25 February 2013, Stage, Sir Run Run Shaw Hall, CUHK (不完全抒情:本土文學與合唱作品朗誦音樂會)
  • University-wide writing event and publication:
    • A university-wide writing event in March 2013:
      “A Day at CUHK in the 21st Century”
    • A collection will be published by the end of 2013
  • Arrangements for evaluation of project deliverables/outcomes

    Questionnaires and surveys will be distributed after workshops, seminars and activities to assess its effectiveness for future improvement(s).
