  • To teach Chinese grammar to enhance students’ writing and reading abilities;
  • To encourage independent learning and critical thinking; and
  • To facilitate the incorporation of self-directed and autonomous learning into a school curriculum.

  • Arrangements for evaluation of project deliverables/outcomes

  • All materials will be trial run by the CHLL. Modifications will be made based on the feedback of their staff and students.


  • Effectiveness of the project outcomes can be assessed by evaluating students’ study progress. This can be done by: (a) keeping track of students’ login records and scores on our platform; and (b) comparing their final scores in the University Chinese course relative to their time spent using our platform.
  • Means for disseminating project deliverables/outcomes

    Students taking the University Chinese course under the new 3+3+4 curriculum will be required to use our platform. All materials will be made accessible online. Students are encouraged to set their own learning objectives and study at their own pace
