Project Objectives

This project includes a construction of an online strategies-based vocabulary instruction and an intervention study to train invited students to develop vocabulary learning strategies through the online platform. The study will shed light on pedagogical implications for incorporating effective vocabulary learning strategies in university English teaching and learning as well as for independent vocabulary learning.

Arrangements for evaluation of project deliverables/outcomes

The frequency of use of the vocabulary learning support system on web-based platform will be counted by its number of viewers. Its effectiveness will be evaluated through the performance of invited subjects on the post-tests which measure their vocabulary size and the use of vocabulary learning strategies (VLS). Also, data analysis will be done to identify effective VLS through the examination of the vocabulary learning profile of the invited subjects.
