Immediately following the appointment of Aedas Limited in association with Edward Cullinan Architects (ECA) to be the professional consultant for the Campus Master Plan (CMP), the Consultant had embarked on the key task of reviewing the views collected by the University from students, alumni and staff since September 2007 and initiated the stage 1 activities, with the purpose of gathering detailed information from different stakeholder groups (Colleges, Faculties, students, staff, alumni and University members) through a series of engagement meetings, workshops, forums and an online view collection exercise.

At the same time, the Consultant had started to work closely with the professional team of sub-consultants, such as traffic engineers, on technical and planning evaluation, to prepare for the conceptual design of CMP.

In the coming stages, the Steering Committee for Campus Master Planning and the Consultant will continue to organize different activities in phases to keep communication alive, to understand the concerns of different stakeholders and ensure the formulation of a CMP that serves the vision of all CUHK members.
