Welcome to the November edition of our eLearning newsletter!

The newsletter is sent to all academic staff (all ranks; full-time and part-time) according to information provided by the Human Resources Office by email regularly. With the feedback received, this newsletter is sent additionally to all users in 2018-19 Blackboard courses with course instructor role and TA / Support Staff role.

Please help to share the information with staff/student TAs and colleagues with teaching support duties of your unit.

Blackboard Ally Pilot (Blackboard Accessibility Add-on)

Ally helps improve the accessibility of your course content by (i) automatically generating "alternative formats" of your files for your students, and (ii) displaying the “Ally Indicators” next to your course files to provide detailed feedback to you on how to improve their accessibilities.

Ally has been enabled in all 2015-16 Blackboard courses for your checking
Ally will be enabled in all 2018-19 Term 2 Blackboard courses
