Blackboard Ultra – Introducing the key features
- As Ultra will be the default course view for Term 2 to Summer Term 2025-26 (2025R2, 2025R3, 2025R4, and 2025S1), we invite you to join the training sessions below to prepare for the transition.
- Open for teachers, support staff, postgraduate TA.

Zoom – Introducing Whiteboard and Caption features
- This training will introduce how to use Whiteboard to enhance idea visualization and collaboration, and Caption to improve accessibility.
- The session will be delivered by the representative from Zoom.

Blackboard Ultra Survey for Staff and Students
- For pilot users of Blackboard Ultra: Your feedback is important and will help us improve the service. Please share any thoughts, suggestions, or issues you have encountered. We would also be grateful if you could share the survey with your students.
Blackboard Ultra Migration Team Invitation
- We are bringing IT, faculty, and academic departments together to support a smooth transition. If you are a staff user with ideas to share or want to stay informed, please sign up as a member of the migration team.

Tips and Reminders for Blackboard Assessments
- Remind students to read and understand this article before taking tests or submitting assignments. If you are planning to conduct Blackboard Tests, it is recommended that you go through the best practices.
- If you plan to use Respondus LockDown Browser, please arrange a mock assessment with your students in advance. Please also note that the screen recording feature is currently not supported in the ITSC Training Rooms. We are actively working to make this feature available soon.

Call for Participation
- Join us at the Teaching and Learning Innovation Expo, taking place from 01 to 02 December 2025, at YIA Park. This event, jointly organised by CLEAR, ELITE, and ITSC, is a professional development opportunity tailored for teachers, staff members, and their student partners from all disciplines within the CUHK community. The Expo offers an exceptional platform for interdisciplinary exchange of teaching and learning practices as well as showcasing project accomplishments within our university and the higher education sector.

Envision the Future of CUHK eLearning - ELITE
|
The newsletter is sent to all academic staff (all ranks; full-time and part-time) according to information provided by the Human Resources Office by email regularly. With the feedback received, this newsletter is sent additionally to all users in 2025-26 Blackboard courses with course instructor role and TA / Support Staff role. Please help to share the information with staff/student TAs and colleagues with teaching support duties of your unit.
