The use of web technology in teaching and learning is a growing trend at CUHK and there are now some excellent examples of good eLearning practice at our University. This is a good time for colleagues to share useful eLearning practices.

The first Expo - Excellence Online was successfully held in 2007. The Expo for 2008 is expected to be an even more useful event for our Chinese University teachers. It is to be held on 17 October 2008.

The eLS@CU is now openly inviting CUHK teachers to share their experiences with their colleagues in the “Expo: Excellence Online 2008”. We have designed an interactive Expo event to facilitate conversation and sharing.

The Expo, to be held in the Esther Lee Building, will have four main components:

• a session with a keynote speaker;
• an assembly of poster presentations in which participants at the Expo can talk with the presenters about their work (lunch-time);
• information talks on particular themes and projects conducted by CUHK teachers (parallel sessions each of 25 minutes); and
• a follow-up poster exhibition (the subsequent week).

The eLearning Service@CU (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/eLearning/) is a joint project of ITSC and CLEAR.
