Just like any other presentations you have done in the past
as well as you will be doing in the future, the purpose of this presentation is
to make your audience (supervisors, clients, colleagues, etc.) get the snapshot
of the work that you are undertaking. This presentation hopefully will get us a
chance to know other groups’ work and therefore broaden our scope and enhance
our knowledge of CUHK’s insurance policies.
In the presentation, the elements that I am looking for are
(i) research of related cases; (ii) appropriateness of your hypothetical case
to the respective insurance policy; (iii) clearness of your analyses of the
coverages and claim payments, (iv) the supported preparations (e.g., PowerPoint
file, transparency, handout, etc.), and (v) time control (about 15 minutes). You will lose one point (out of 10) per
minute over 16 minutes. However, the
time used for Q&A is excluded in such time limit.
In the written report, the elements that I am looking for
are (i) your summary of the hypothetical case; (ii) your analysis of the
respective insurance policy and associated claim payments, (iii) your extended
research beyond the scope the case analysis, and (iv) the report format, such
as the executive summary, bibliography, appendix, etc. I am looking for a report within 10
pages. The due date of the report is DEC 13. You
will lose one point per day of late submission.
I encourage you to submit it whenever you feel it is done, so as to
avoid the busy time schedule at the end of the semester.
The oral presentation and written report will be equally
weighted toward your project grading.
Each member of the same group will receive the same score, unless the
substantial evidence presented to me indicates a severe free rider problem.
