After going through written report submission and campus final presentation, the team of three GBS Batch 6 girls (Veronica Lau, Peggy Tse, Queenie Li) was crowned champion in the Hong Kong Finals. The team will represent Hong Kong in the upcoming International Finals in Paris in June 2013, where they will compete with teams from 45 other countries.
L’Oréal Brandstorm is an international marketing competition organized by L’Oréal SA, the largest cosmetics and beauty corporation. The competition empowers participating students from all over the world with a pedagogical and professional opportunity to take the role of an International Marketing Hub Director. This year, the case revolved around hair care and styling products of L’Oréal Paris, a sub-brand of L’Oréal. Students are required to come up with an innovative product targeting consumers aged 15-35 in ASEAN and devise a comprehensive marketing strategy from pre-launch to post-launch. During the preparation stages for both Hong Kong and International Finals, all competing teams are offered consultation sessions with the advertising agency of L’Oréal Paris, McCann Worldgroup, who is responsible for creating print marketing materials for each team to assist its presentation.
