Youth Studies

In the recent 5 years, youth have been increasingly active in public actions.  Those who were criticized as radical youth were mostly post-80s.

One of the major rationales for youth study is to correctly examine the correlates of youth attitudes, values and behaviours.

The Centre conducted two surveys on youth attitudes in 2009 and 2014 to establish a baseline and track any changes among youth.

The results in both surveys refuted the validity of so called label of post-80s or even post-90s.

Postmaterialistic values are found to be most influential to their social attitudes and political inclination.
